Do think this is a chance to give starts to some players that missed out on Sunday. Certainly be good to see Doyle, Chiquinho, Rodrigo and Lima.
Certainly some work to do on the defending. Maybe Santi Bueno will get a game. Rather see Dawson on Saturday than tonight. But he could give further games to Mosquera and Toti to help their experience. And does Ait Nouri get another chance as a full back? With Hugo gone on loan, which doesn’t seem wise to me, we have little options at left back unless Toti moves there.
If we are to continue with 4231 then we need more from Hwang and Bellegarde or need to replace them. Hwang touched the ball just 21 times on Sunday. In an attacking sense that included no shots, two dribbles into the penalty area where he lost possession both times, and one cross that didn’t find a team mate. Bellegarde was even quieter only getting 14 touches.
We need a performance to lift the spirits but difficult to be confident we will get that.
One advantage of having this cup tie now is that it will see Semedo complete his three game suspension. That means he will be available for the game at Forest on Saturday. Maybe him or Doherty will play left back in that one
We could put Lima in and move Doherty to left back as Semedo is available on Saturday.
I think we need to put out a relatively strong side as we definitely need a confidence boost, but at this stage I assume fitness levels will be a key factor.
Trying to play a back 4 in pre season games are fine, but it's plainly obvious that it's ain't working when it comes to playing Premier League sides.
For now at least, we have to revert to a back 3 with Toti on the left side. I'm sure we'll see the likes of Doyle, Rodrigo, Dawson and a few others for this one.
Still a concern that we have not sold or loaned anyone with only a couple of days to go and we soon have to submit our squad in a few days time. No point in having the likes of Fabio and Guedes drawing a huge salary and only being able to play for the U23's.
Wolves players that if the rumours are true may not be here on 1st September
Sa, Bentley, Santi Bueno, Ait Nouri (probably will stay), Traore, Sarabia, Guedes, Podence, Fabio
Plus we need to sign at least a keeper, centre back, wide forward
Are there enough hours in the next three days for Hobbs to sort all that out
Current favourites for our three signings;
Keeper, Sam Johnstone
Centre back, Ahmedhodzic
Forward, Forbs
But the rumour mill is more often wrong than right
Do you seriously think we can offload 8 players in the next couple of days?
Chirewa got 45 minutes for Derby last night and was replaced at HT by a former Wolves youngster, Mendez-Laing.

We don't need to. The Saudi window closes in early October
I'm fully expecting our poor run of form to continue tonight.
Wolves 0 Burnley 2
We're not going to get away with making the starting XI weaker every window FFS.
So they're all going to Saudi now? Sure, let's keep them on their salaries and waste almost 500,000 quid a week until they go. That makes sense.

And what do you propose?
Every single window without fail we shift players in the last few days, that won't be any different this summer. I don't understand why you have been fixated on it all summer, because a player is here it doesn't mean he has to be named in the squad if we need the space for someone else.

One player who looks likely to be in our starting line up tonight is Chiquinho. On the front page of the programme and featured in the pre game interviews
Feyenoord and Moenchengladbach keen on Traore
Will be a disappointment to Olympiakos if Podence goes to Saudi after the club and player have been saying they both wanted the transfer to happen. But if it doesn’t happen it will be the Greek club’s fault for continuing to try to negotiate down what was already a bargain fee of €8m

Strange another club hasn’t rushed in for Podence at a bargain basement fee of just €8m.
Or maybe he just ain’t all that?
For 8m I'd rather reintegrate him
