The only thing I can think about this sort of news is the player involved doesn't really like football, even though they are great at it.
Disappointing to see this. He'd be the 1st real elite player to go there.
Hasn't he held up this move at every opportunity for a European club to buy him, nobody has been willing to stump up the cash.
He's also moving with a release clause reportedly the same money he's moving for so he can swiftly move back to Europe when a big team need a striker.
Also is he really an elite player? Admittedly didn't watch any of him in that season he fired Napoli to the title but the couple of times I've seen him he's been a bit of a let down.
was shocked chelsea got 30m back for a 31 year old past it Lukaku. Sale of the window?
Napoli are in the sheit arent they? Lukaku and Mctominay facks going on 4za? 50m + for em too
If he is in football to earn a fortune and secure his family and their next generation then this is the biggest win he could have in terms of his career.

Toney apparently also.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hard to blame Toney too much.
He's 28 and still apparently on the same contract he signed at Brentford when they were in the Championship so quite small money in football terms.
It doesn't look like any of the PL big boys are in for him either so he might as well take the money.

he only clears about 18k a week currently when someone offers you 300k a week take home then its almost impossible to turn down ... thats the equivalent of 600k a week in england before tax
would explain why he was betting so much.. 18k a week?? id not get out of bed for that!
Osimhen is young enough that he can still come back to Europe in his prime. I'm sorry to see him go to Saudi too, but on the other hand understand why he might not want to go to Chelsea on well below market values for a striker of his stature, primarily because of Chelsea's financial constraints. They couldn't afford fair value for Osimhen, and I don't think anyone should judge him for not subsidising them.
That said, I guess both Napoli and Osimhen himself regret the fact that he didn't move on last summer, when his stock was much higher. Had the club compromised a bit on the valuation, the player wouldn't have had to choose between his financial and sporting ambitions.

Penalties have really pulled the wool of the eyes of even the media that Toney is some elite goalscorer.

Not every player will have the same priorities, and if you grew up very poor then money will likely always be a priority.
He’s still youngish and I’m sure can leave SA in a year or 2 if he wants. Not convicted he’s as good as some have suggested, would have probably been best for him to leave just after winning the Scudetto career wise.

Gambling is illegal in Saudi isn't it? Perhaps Toney has a real problem with it that we don't know about so removing that temptation will do him good.

Haaland almost has a goal a game for Norway so yes I reckon he would. Kane would also.
Put it this way. There's no way in hell Toney scores close to 67 in 68 PL games for City or scores 30+ in back to back seasons in the PL & Bundesliga.
