The lad puts in an absolute shift, does a lot of the hard graft and really hasn’t had much service. Delighted that he got that goal today.

Who is Bamford?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wrong question - should be "what is Bamford". The answer is: "the name of the new wing of the local medical centre"

Saw a funny post on X the other day where SYP were asking people to dob people in who don’t have a job but live a lavish lifestyle and someone put a picture of Paddy up,
Joseph is still rough round the edges but what a prospect

He is Don.

Watching him move though, holy crap the kid
glides but with power. I did read that Bamford
has helped Mateo. Mateo himself credited
that interaction as being part of his development.

He's the player I fear the sharks will be circling
once the January window opens.

Let them circle, he’s under contract 🤷🏻‍♂️

He looks massive, must of really bulked up over summer

So … he’s got 1 goal in 4 games (glass half empty).

He’s got 1 in 1 playing alongside Solomon (glass overfloweth).

Perhaps re-visit this subject at Christmas (my God, I’m sounding soooo sensible these days, it’s frightening🌞).

The one thing I think we will get from Solomon is quality balls into the box, worry will be when he starts getting taken out by the waist,

posted on 1/9/24

Yep, well we can’t expect the Refs to protect him at this level … he’s gonna have to learn to give it back some👍

This is not a slagging off of Summerville:

Solomon looks to be a traditional hit the line and
take the full back with him before hitting his crosses.
When he did it, he looked dangerous. He can cut
back in too. Which he does. Cree didn't like driving
to the line as much. Still a phenomenal player.

Joseph did bulk up. He mentioned it pre-season.
So did Farke. He is taking this opportunity very
seriously. Reckon he'll develop very quickly.

God, really excited now the window's shut.

The 1 in 4 dosent concern me at all as this is where the idea of goals alone don't make a striker really does come into play

He has two assists which means he has three goal contributions in four games which is a great return for any player.

Guy looks to have taken his chance with both hands and as things stand it's impossible to imagine him not been a main player in our promotion bid this year
Guy is playing as par

Looks brilliant. Shame he wasn’t given a start against Sunderland or Blackburn in the run in, but I understand why.

Still improving but his mobility is really helping us vs Piroe/bamford there

Been highly critical of Piroe but absolutely the right pass to him for the second goal by Firpo yesterday, ignoring the easier pass. You have to give credit to Piroe for that finish and Firpo for that awareness. Piroe doesn't need to be mobile when he has players who have learnt his game.
I am sure that Mateo will get assists from Firpo as well.

While I am banging on about Firpo, anyone else spot that he was introducing Tanaka to the crowd yesterday was like he was taking a new kid under his wing at Infant school. Nice to see.

Piroe is a great finisher and will be an asset this season. It’s not his game though running channels and stretching a defence, but as a finisher, he’s best in our squad

Agreed.

Piroe can finish as well as anyone in the Champ.

Happy to admit I was wrong on Firpo. His only
problem was the injury bug. He seems to have got
over that (touch wood). He was great end of last
season. And he's started this one just as well.

I don't look at Firpo now and think crap. He does
look very good. Kudos to all of those who did say
he was good going forward and that we should
play to that strength. Him and Bogle - for me at
least - look perfect for Farke's system.

I'm going to say it: I love Firpo in this team.

I still wish we'd landed a true #10. But, fck it.
We look so bloody good. And the football is
great to watch. Giddy.

In some weird about way I sense a "I'm not rrssed if you don't rate me" attitude from Piroe now which also takes away the pressure of expectation and I think makes him a more dangerous impact sub to replace Joseph who also looks like his first goal of the season is a mighty relief and will unlock an avalanche of Alan Shearesque
poachers goals.....suddenly our striker department looks rosey.

He never looks too ruffled Macca.

Yesterday looked more like how Farke played
at Norwich. With multiple 10s buzzing across the
park. Gnonto and Aaronsson were all over the
shop. Never stopped running. If Farke gets the
best out of those two, I mean, well done fella.

Have to say I was disappointed with pre season and the start of the season, losing Archie, Cree and Rutter. Incomings seemed to be cheaper versions of what we had and I was desperate for any sort of marquee signing to show our intent and placate the fans. Added to this Aaronson and Wober had a lot to do to win over the fans.
I now think we are a more rounded team than last year and we are playing better football through the channels. It’s in our hands to make the most of this season and make our way to the premier league.

True Doha.

Must admit, I thought Wober wanted out.
I also thought his injury was made up
because he wanted out. Seems he didn't.

He's now with us until January window
at least. He could be excellent cover. And
he allows us to play 3 at the back with
wingbacks. Not too shabby.

Watch out for overoptimismitus folks we all know how that can pan out for us but the early signs are promising so hopefully this break doesn't interfere with the momentum the team has gained and we can carry on in the same vein against Burnley at home next and Joseph
can add to his tally.

That point away at WBA doesn't look so bad and I reckon Eustace at Blackburn could very well be like the Ipswich this season... why Birmingham sacked him for Rooney must go down as one of the craziest managerial decisions which Leeds have had their fair share of too

My guess, you mean the ones who declare
us champions in august before a ball's kicked.
Lay bets on it, call goal tallies, rubbish other
teams, declare themselves experts?

Maybe? No idea. Just spit balling here.

Batts, yes all of that and not forgetting the classic chicken counting post of which Premier league grounds are we most looking forward to visiting next season.
Okay I'll go first and say Everton and their new stadium and hearing the colourful chants aimed at a certain player out on loan there atm and most likely to make it permanent if they survive and we finish with a thousand points and go up as the greatest football team in the universe. 👍
