Ten hag IN...🙏🙏

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

Alas! He has seen the light.

It's been painfully obvious for about 18 months. I have seen league 1 teams who are set up better positionally than we are. We look like a team of kids chasing the ball to one side of the pitch for 90 mins constantly.

He should have gone in the summer. Massive mistake to allow him another season and Jim truly bottled that decision due to fan pressure. Sad.

Supported him all through last season but was hoping improvements under a new structure, it's more of the same! I'll give him until Xmas at best.

SE85 - I do try and see the positive but today perhaps tipped me over the edge. It's not like we were that terrible either. It's just that this kind of performance is becoming the norm. It's not a once in a blue moon kind of thing. It would help if we had a class forward like Salah though. In truth LFC weren't great either and they won't be close to City or Arsenal either at the season's end.

Baz - no WUM here today!

As an aside, how the feck did Rashford not get hooked in that game?!

Commercial decision. The club needs a poster boy, so the whole set up is dependent on building up Trashford

Hey mate....we all make mistakes. ETH was my number one choice to take over 2 and half years ago. I have never hidden that fact. I couldn't have been more wrong about him.

I have seen league one managers set up a team to be harder to beat than this guy. He's failed and shouldn't have been allowed a third year but alas he did and here we are.

It's another long painful season ahead. 😭

Do you not think Liverpool were very good?
I thought they were, the scoreline flattered us imo

I strongly believe in the 2 season principle. You give everyone 2 seasons in football.

I'm more unforgiving of footballers than I am managers.

I felt ETH after 2 full seasons just about did enough to deserve more time ( thanks to the FA Cup), but he's scraped through in my eyes. Now he's into his third season and if I stick to my view point he's got till Xmas to show the team are now on an upward trend.

Antony has had two seasons. not good enough
Casemiro has been here for two seasons, he should not be starting anymore.

Rashford has one good season in each 3 or 4. Not consistent enough

Sancho, well we all know what happened there.

A full 2 seasons is fair and ETH will lose the support of every single United supporter over the coming months if things do not improve

DIafol ?! Even you? And I am trying to be positive. (SE85 is a lost cause).

This may be the only time to give him a chance. He should be feeling the writing on the wall and this might be the only ownership that will let him bench those overpaid players. If he doesn't bench Rashford and Casemiro, facking start Collyer and be digging out Shea Lacey. He needs to be digging out all the stops.

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

He's going to get the chance anyway. They can't even sack him now even if they wanted to because it will make them look absolutely pathetic and spineless for not doing it when they should have done.

He's going nowhere (and neither are we)

Painfully obvious for about 18 months? You sure?

The fact opposition fans are trying to play down the Ten Hag affect makes it even sweeter! They know we are on our way back and they hate it

Absolutely. It's great isn't it? 😁

I think he’ll get the season and they’ll look at it again in the summer. I’m more concerned by their failure to address the midfield and attack. Going into the season with these options was asking for trouble.

I think its to make it clear hes given him every chance hes willing to give. I want to believe hes not starting any games for us this month.

My exact quote is "we should be signing 3 midfielders, than 3 defenders".

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

ETH has had the summers and January's to build his own team now. He's won a few trophies just about so he's got the next few months to deliver or he will deserve the sack.

Robb and Culer wanting him gone after 12 months are morons. You give a manger adequate time.

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

I don't see INEOS making a change after only 3 competitive games after backing him. As I said the other day, now is the time EtH has to start getting the team playing better and getting better results. Although some minor details of our set up have improved from last season, it is not making any tangible differences in results.
