City, Arsenal, Liverpool in order and then who knows.

The gap in quality to the rest is pretty big.

Interesting that on the strength of 3 wins and all the hype surrounding beating an abject Utd side - Liverpool are suddenly now going to mount a title challenge.

2 horse race and Liverpool won't be in it.

Liverpool
Arsenal
Man city
Aston villa
Chelsea
Brighton
Tottenham
West ham
New castle
Brentford

Pretty weak after that. I think Leeds would have a better chance.

But for 1 half against Leicester I think Spurs have looked good so far, from what ive seen. The points tally doesn't match the performances.

The top 3 is set, but based on the very little we've seen I make Spurs early favourites for 4th. Rat race for 5th between a few clubs - and I'd be surprised if English clubs go another year in Europe without claiming that extra CL spot.

Im not sure that Liverpool have the depth to sustain 3rd uncontested. They will have their ups and downs much like Spurs, Villa and Newcastle, especially as Europe kicks in, which is more demanding this year in terms of games and how often you meet better opposition. So i see these 3 + Liverpool in a race for 3rd and 4th.

Chelsea...who knows. Thrash Wolves away one week draw at home vs Palace the next. Think that is how their season might roll but if they click they could get in the mix too..

Man United. Not really looking much better than their 8th place self from last season. Outside chance, may be.

Chelsea may have thrashed wolves but anyone watching that game it absolutely flattered them

They won’t be near top 4

Think 4th is between Tottenham and villa …united will be in it if they get rid of ETH soon or they will have too much to do …bloke is broken

Top 3 I couldn’t call between city , Liverpool and arsenal but they will be well clear

Our squad depth is fine Only place we're slightly lite is CB. We have the best keeper, excellent full backs, a solid midfield pack, and six forwards all of whom would start at spurs

We'll finish well above spurs and the others you mentioned.

In fact we'll be closer to the top 2 than the chasing pack fighting for 4th.

Suddenly? We were in the race with 5 games to go last season. Hardly suddenly is it.

For what its worth I dont think we'll finish above city or arsenal but to suggest we are almost coming from nowhere is a bit silly.

Liverpool
City
Arsenal
Brighton/Newcastle/West Ham

I think European football will mess up the other big teams chances of top 4.

Spurs and Anges problems are simple. He doesn't ever seem to have a plan B and Spurs cannot manage a close game to the finish. Their defensive tactics are a bit mental and they lack any control against the biggest teams.

I'd tip villa ahead of Spurs simply because Villa clearly have a better manager. If he was at Spurs I'd have them higher 100%

posted on 2/9/24

Arsenal fans making out LFC are 'suddenly' in a title race when they were at the top last season for a longer period than any other side 😂

posted on 2/9/24

Hate to say but Ange looking out of his depth

Hope I’m wrong though and willing to give him more time

Think CL gonna hurt villa though ….thats why I’d give us a chance

I would think it will probably be

City
Arsenal
Liverpool
Brighton

No european matches for Brighton to contend with and they look like a decent outfit. Obviously player availability will come into it. I think Villa will struggle balancing the additional games. From what I've seen of Tottenham nothing looks like it's changed a severe lack of quality in the final third and a very naive defence. Newcastle and West ham fighting it out with Chelsea for conference places.

1st City obviously
2nd Arsenal or Liverpool no idea.

I still think Spurs make up the top four this year.

Whilst they’ve dropped points, they look much better than United and Chelsea.

posted on 2/9/24

Arsenal are a better team than Liverpool. We proved that last year. Some people will never learn

3 games in and you've declared Liverpool challengers and written us off? You're an odd arsenal fan.
