This is a well drilled, well coached Sporting side performing like this against City. The Utd squad will present a completely different challenge for Amorim, a whole different ball game! He's in for a shock.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah you're right. I wonder who is to blame for that lack of coaching though eh? 😉
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The WHOLE club 😊
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Meh.....I wouldn't say the whole club. Our under 18's are the champions and play wonderful football.

Ultimately the first team head coach is responsible for the coaching of the first team and your hero didn't do a particularly good job of it.

EtH is culpable, and as a result, he paid the price. However, by "the club," I mean the executives who sourced, analysed, and procured questionable "talent" that fails to meet the current needs and will continue to fail EtH's successor. The squad was assembled by clowns, not a proper DOF.

We've been watching Hag ball for too long. We've forgotten what top class exciting attacking football looks like.

I agree

Could easily have had 3 by now, in fact plenty of time to get more goals. He's a machine.

Sporting are doing what City did to them in the first half but to more devastating effect.

Booking? Wtf?

I agree with Noel Gallagher, Sporting showed City too much respect in the first half

He will get Hojlund to this level I think. He shares a lot of the same qualities as him. Both very direct and pacey.

Hojlund is still raw with a lot of potential but lacks consistency, while Gyökeres, at 26, is at his peak. They have similar styles, but Gyökeres is better at holding up the ball and his conversion is phenomenal.

The difference between their front 3 and ours is they try to get Gyokeres the ball and chances whenever possible where as Garnacho, Rashford and Antony when he plays are always looking for the shot.

Only really Amad who doesn't

Let's see him under a top coach when the team has more confidence first. This lad Sporting have was playing for Coventry City not too long ago. Coaching goes a long long way.

It's not just about coaching, it's about fulfilling potential. Hojlund is on a certain point of developmental arc. Playing in a winning, dominant side has helped Gyökeres, it could help Hojlund if Almorim makes us very competitive.
