Absolutely fuming. The manager has to take some of this blame. No need to rotate the keeper or Maguire here.

Anyone who thinks this manager does not care look at the subs. He got it wrong and needs to stop the massive rotation

It's blatantly obvious we have 3/4 players who are nowhere near good enough.

Just hurts Spurs were Shiiiite and we gifted it

Dalot and Martinez were absolutely woeful too. Dalot struggling badly this season on the left.

Bayindir Lindelof and Antony just aren't good enough. I have no hope for any of them whenever they play.

So far, we’ve seen promising signs in every game. The errors have come from the usual suspects and some players, like Bayındır, who are unlikely to feature again.

By rotating RA is learning. This season is about experimentation and adjustment. Despite the changes we played well, we simply gifted them 4 goals. We move on.

It’s about the players learning the system, understanding who is going to work and who isn’t and in which roles, rehab-ing several players, conditioning and fitness (which Amorim has spoken about *a lot*).

He won’t be delighted that we’re out, but he’ll recognise more than anyone that we have far too many games to play at the moment. He’s said we haven’t even had time to work as a full squad on attacking patterns yet, ffs.

Yeah.

Defeats always hurt, but for me, incremental improvements in our play are crucial. RA’s system provides control, enabling us to play high and on the front foot. He’s also proactive with changes and tactical adjustments, which is encouraging.

He'll make far less wholesale changes once he has more quality in the side. Considering the short time RA has had with the players, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

Just need to get knocked out of the FA Cup next month to make that a little easier

Sort of reminded me of the 4-3 copenhagen game. We were shafted by refs and poor finishing and lethal finishing by opposition.

It won't come for a while as yet. Christmas is unforgiving sadly.

We've avoided a two legged semi final now against a rival club. We now need to finish top 8 of Europa and avoid the 2 legged playoff.

Garnacho was cack again when he came on.

He’s a long way behind Amad right now.

We've barely got a good 11 let alone a squad.

This season isn't about trophies. We've got a new manager trying to implement a new system. It was never going to be a breeze given what's happened to us.

I’m not too concern about Bayandir, he won’t be starting any match in the future. Martinez on the other hand

I guess the thing is with keepers - when you play 1 game out of every 30, you are probably more likely to have a shakey performance. Both because you're not really up to speed with things, and obviously the psychological aspect of needing to make an impression.

It's part of the reason a lot managers rotate in cup games (some even in Europe). If anything happens to your number 1, you want the number 2 to have had as much game time as possible. Personally - I have no issue with Bayindir playing in these games, or even the FA cup games.

I don't remember Bayindir being this bad.

Ok that happens with the backup but Onana's not good enough either

We're never going to challenge at the top until we get a solid gk. It's a priority imo. Makes a massive difference to confidence generally with defenders as well.

No doubt, I'm not really expecting improvement that will really change Utd before 12-18 months? Squad updates and acceptance of a new coaches approach, hope I'm right but who knows?

Win v Rangers and we should be good for not having a 2 legged extra round in the Europa?

Well two cups in the past two years would say yes to your question, just think we played a non team tonight and gifted them the win , no real effort until we went behind and we need a proper keeper

Think we probably need to win both remaining games just to be doubly sure. 3/4pts might be enough for top 8 though.

Yes, I did mean in a few games after this hectic spell is over. I do think Amorim probably knows who 8/9 will be already. Those two free midweeks in January can't come quick enough for him I'm sure!

Yeah let's hope so.

We badly need to buy some wingbacks at the earliest opportunity. I don't really rate any of our options and I want Amad to stay at 10 now with Bruno.
