i think scales was superb last night but it irks me the lack of motm awards CCV gets.
Do we have any other player in our team that is a minimum 8 out of 10 every single week?

You've been very good tonight....Bratislava are rather guff, but shouldn't take away from how good you've played going forward...rather lethal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ll inevitably take a few doings in this campaign, but we’ve played some very good stuff at times tonight.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The new format is going to be of great help to clubs of our stature. Having those two games against other Pot 4 sides gives us a real opportunity for at least a couple of wins. With those wins can come confidence and belief that we can win more games in the CL.
What a fvcking game! Superb result, great performance, but for sloppy finishing it could've been double figures.
Kyogo missed a few and their keeper saved them a few times.
Surprise Weiss wasn't sent off for the kick out.
Engels was superb as was most of the team, AJ was fantastic. Taylor with a brain fart to let them in.
But it's all good.
Weiss admitted after the game saying stupid things about Celtic in the past. Easy to get caught up when you are young and daft.
How enjoyable was that?
First half was a mixture of nerves and the likelihood they were instructed not to take risks and just press and wear them down. All perfectly understandable and was an excellent game plan at the end of it.
So many chances missed but should we expect to beat any CL team by more than that score? Be great of course if we did, but in honesty we are picking holes for the sake of it.
Thought the much maligned Scales and Taylor were immense last night; the blooper from Taylor aside. That can happen with anyone at our level and the goal in itself was a peach of a strike. Very few would convert that.
Tougher tests to come and it’s a pity the two next games are away from home as I think the mood music could change very quickly if we don’t take anything from one of them at least.
Anyways; a record CL win for us at last and it’s been some amount of years since just an opening win.
Very happy with that.

i don't think he needs to be though, he's been rock solid for 3 years now. Easily our most consistent performer.
if i have any criticisms its an ongoing one about how we defend at this level.
When a team breaks we all seem to run to the ball, the backpost at both sides is always exposed. Think we need to be more disciplined at the back.
Also wish we would take as many risks with the ball going forward as we do at the back. a few occassions we were passing it about at the back in really tight areas because the safe pass was back to CCV, Scales, or the GK.

Wish we were just simply a much better side.
Hey ho.
I’m going to revel in the afterglow of a great performance last night as most of the watching media and public seem to be doing.
i don't think we are far off being a good side to be honest mate.
we're moving the ball faster, i'd argue this is the best we have played under rodgers in both his spells at the club.
the atmosphere was terrific last night btw. when the second goal went in it was wild.
McGregor has been so influential this season as well, he's everywhere.
I actually think as a team and a squad that we have significantly improved on the years before.
Never thought I’d get to say that in the future.
need to use the squad well, falkirk should see a few different faces get a run out. Maybe a good look at Trusty and Valle.
Expect Bernardo will play.
Here, Engels looks like a player, his movement, strength, i'm liking it.
Great game last night , great atmosphere .
I actually liked the discipline we showed at times in rather than the going gung-ho we got back into shape ensuring we werent susceptible to a counter attack .
I think that was a clear instruction as you seen Hatate and Mcgregor alot of the time just reshaping us into a certain formation whilst on the ball .
AJ was great last night, he's a very accomplished full back for us . Engels as well , hes a big powerhouse with great technique , looks a great addition.
feel for Bernardo whos not done much to merit a place on the bench but the Engels inclusion has been fully justified .
pleased that Idah got a goal , i think hes kinda needed that to get his season going
Hatate was coming in for some unwarranted grumbles i thought, he really put in a shift.
thought that the 3 of them showed terrific composure for Daizens goal.

yeah hes easily one of our most important players , the guys consistency is ridiculous as you say .
Maybe our most important player in many ways , a team without him in it just isnt the same level .
His defending is rock solid and his composure on the ball is quite often the building base of how we attack
starfelt was a good cb, next to CCV, without him he fell to bits.
i think it's taken for granted just how important he is for us, criminal he hasn't won a POTY award.

Totally in tune with that and everything CT says. Wasn't denigrating him but more the MOTM awards which tend to be swayed by goalscorers. He's 26 - if they're gonna cash in they have to do it soon but I have a wee inkling he might be the one we keep and get value out of? Depends more on him than us, I think?

Said it last night, but even this early Engels looks a relative bargain at £11m. Many things about his game to like, including his confidence dispatching pens! BR said after the weekend Hatate was our No1 taker, and Engels No2, but Reo had selflessly allowed him to get his first goal for the club. Based on last night, I assume Arne’s now our designated taker?
