Are People Being Too Hard On

I’m reading that he had to be pursusded by Sonny to go over to the away fans yesterday after the game as he seemed prey hesitant/nervous to do so.

That can’t be right.

Agreed.

I wasn’t really aware of how bad it was.

He’s just another carp player at Spurs.

I don’t know how people can find the enthusiasm to abuse him ffs.

Well I haven’t written him off yet.

I noticed BJ only clapped his hands very briefly and turned away.

Our away support is fantastic and I doubt it was any of them that abused him online.

It would have been idiots and dummy spitters.

Let’s hope he has a good couple of games and is shown support during games.

We have some proper toossers in our away crowd - the sort of people who profit off their own fellow fans by buying away tickets then flogging them on to pocket the loyalty points.

We love a scapegoat as well, not sure why Brennan has been singled out, he had 10 assists last season, only Cole Palmer with 11 and Ollie Watkins with 13 can beat that.

But these toossers have to have their scapegoat

It’s horrific and I feel for him, but if I was a professional footballer I definitely wouldn’t have an open profile on social media, there will always be some diiickheads who will abuse you

Good for you🤣

I don’t rate him at all.

But I wouldn’t go and send him or any other football player abuse online. I couldn’t really care less about him.

The only way I could see him have any impact at Spurs is if he were played through the middle like he was at Forest and pump balls over the top for him - but we don’t play that way

----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s why he is so good at the end of game when it gets stretched. He doesn’t want the ball to feet, he is not a dribbler, he wants the ball in space to run onto like last night. That’s why I think he is a great sub but looks lost when he starts games.

“I’m trying to stay positive to be confident in myself, and at the end I thought, “never give up” kept believing a chance could come, that the ball would bounce to me and tried to get into good areas.

To get through, showing fight at the end, it’s good for everyone and obviously I’m happy to score the winner”

Bless him.

BJ probably has the impression Spurs fans are a right bunch of caaants. And you can’t really blame him, these online abusers reflect on the rest of us

I've said it before BJ is too nice, it does not make it right but he is an easy target for people.

You could see he is upset, did not want to go to the fans and he did not really celebrate the goal either. We need to put an arm around him he is still young.

so 10 assists and 5 goals in 32 appearances last season isnt "having an impact"

Doesnt help when our build up has become so slow.

For me he needs to develop a better relationship with Porro and whoever plays left CM, often Sarr, to work good positions and space and not just rely on having acres to run into

He’s not young or inexperienced he’s just an extremely average player who has got a very limited technical ability.

As for social media I don’t believe for one second that players don’t understand how it works by now especially people of his generation.

Suck it up or don’t use it but don’t take it out on the fans who pay the money following the team

Wow.

No wonder he doesn’t celebrate when he scores.
