Screaming ‘corruption’ when a decision doesn’t go your way is a sure fire way to tell everyone that you’re bitter and don’t really have a credible point imo.

He had already gone to pass the ball to Martinelli before the whistle went and made contact about half a second after the whistle.

Clearly tried to pull out but didn't have enough time to do so completely so ended up shanking/stubbing it instead of making the pass.

But ok, whatever helps you sleep at night

I disagree, I think at the last second he reacts to the whistle and basically attempts to pull out from his initial strike and ends up miscontrolling it more than purposefully booting it away.

But either way, there's not enough time from the whistle for him to stop that action he already initiated before the whistle was blown.

So even if I'm wrong and he was trying to clear it up the pitch, to send him off for that is bizarre, especially given the first soft yellow.

“Yet Trossard is sent off for a super-soft first yellow and then an RVP vs Barcelona-esque (corrupt) contact with the ball, when he'd already begun to go to kick it before the whistle went, making contact around 0.5 seconds after the whistle and clearly attempting to react to the whistle and pull out from striking it“

Was pretty clear he kicked the ball after the whistle went. This victim thing from arsenal fans is quite pathetic. You threw it away, just move on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You really dont get it.

We arent complaing about Trossard being send off even though it was soft to give a second yellow for kicking the ball away because Trossy thought the game can continue.

We are asking for consistency. Two City players could have gone for delaying the game. Incidence that were early than Trossard situation. The ref. missed out on it.

Also thought it isnt allowed for the players to sourround the ref. Only the captain is allowed to talk to the ref.

After Arsenal scored their first goal several players sourounded Oliver. Then later there was a situation where Diaz run 50 m over the field to the ref for complaing. Diaz isnt the City captain.

If you think that is alright then football isnt the right sport for you.

Actual video evidence that Trossard was already making a movement to kick the ball before the ref blew and the ref was still blowing on contact.
Yet the same man watched Doku kick it away and Bernardo dribble away with the ball long after the whistle and did nothing.

The same man who refused to send Kovacic off twice cos he didnt want to negatively impact the game...

No it does not, I think you thought this was clever when you initially formed this sentence in your head, but all that came out was nonsense

Went to kick the ball heard the whistle so kicked it even further then he was going to?

Some very stretchy takes coming from the arsenal fans tonight.

Glad that Trossard has the ability to completely change his kick in microseconds and during a swing.

But why wasn't Doku booked for kicking the deadball 10 yards into the other half to where the kick was meant to be taken?
Why wasn't Bernardo booked for dribbling the ball 15 yards from where the foul was conceded?

I don’t understand why other fans don’t understand this. Happened to Arsenal twice in the last 3 matches but can easily occur elsewhere. No one has problems with these new (potentially unnecessary) rules, apply them consistently for everyone is what matters.

Very odd pass to Martinelli then if this is what you think. The denial is quite something.

Who says it was a pass to Martinelli? It was seconds before half time and City were pushing for a goal. More likely is he cleared it away to ease the pressure.

Ah so if and buts can’t exist yet you know exactly what was going on inside Trossards mind.

Think you need to just accept the result at this point.

We want to win a game of football between two competitive teams on the same level. It was alright in the first half until Oliver influenced the game that no one wants to see it.

posted 4 weeks ago

I have accepted the result. I do not accept the two tier reffing that allows Joao Pedro to hoof the ball 50 yards and not get booked, Doku to kick a stationary ball 10m yards into the other half to where the free kick was and not get booked, I do not accept a foul given and Bernardo dribbling the ball 15 yards away and not get booked, I do not accept Pervis picking the ball up after a free kick and not get booked but Trossard and Rice to get booked in the same games as those.
I do not accept two tier reffing. It is a sham.

That's the point though.

Trossard may have been looking to clear it although some fans are saying they thought he was looking to pass to Martinelli, maybe it would have been a clipped/lobbed pass for Martinelli to run on to. Who knows.

But the fact is that half a second is not enough time to pull out of that when you're already mid-action and the whistle is blown.

posted 4 weeks ago

Tbh Doku kicking the ball back to where the ref wanted it was probably quickening the game up if anything.

posted 4 weeks ago

Both Trossard and Rice ones were far more controversial than the others, whatever you think of them.

Yet we're the team with two red cards for it. 5 games in.

Kyzr, ignore Winston. He is the son of Mike Riley and seems to have an unhealthy obsession with me. Clearly wants my attention even though he is long filtered.

Kicking the ball towards where the ref is pointing? Think arsenal fans should be thanking him if anything.
