Haaland

Whether he did or didn't, it doesn't change the fact that a player shouldn't be sent off for making contact with the ball half a second after the whistle having already initiated his action before the whistle was blown.

Also, if you think Trossard's foul was worthy of a seocnd yellow after such a soft first, then you'd have to be a hypocrite to not agree that Haaland should have been sent off for multiple yellows, just watch the video Gunnerthru shared.

I mean if that's: "over-violent" then what Haaland did out there yesterday was full on assault and battery.

I really like Haaland. He is a class player absolute no debate.

Yesterday`s behaviour was out of order and he deserve the red card for all his antics.

Neutral here - enjoy both teams and saw most of it in between DIY but the thing most are missing about the red, and I know it was for kicking the ball away, but the barge from behind was pretty brutal with imho no attempt to play the ball, bordering on dangerous. Trossard was, again imho, trying to break up play, waste time until HT was blown. He knew damn fine he'd just committed a foul but still chose to compound it by booting the ball to fck. The official response was the latter but I bet it was a combination of the two?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I did mention that Trossard's barge into the back was stoopid but 99% of the time when someone is given such a soft yellow for the first and hasn't committed other fouls then they would never be sent off for that, it's: "final / last warning" stuff.

So the fact that it would have been extremely harsh to send him off for that and that he supposedly received the second yellow for kicking the ball away (0.5 seconds after the whistle went when he had already begun his action to strike it) I can't agree with yellow being given for either situation.

Plus, you can't add apples to oranges to come up with a yellow card, that's not in the laws of the game, separate incidents.

Apologies, mate - maybe glossed over it.

Was the first yellow 'soft'? Stopping a promising break by the rule book is a grey area. However, as I mentioned, you have to consider the context of the game and ref prior tried to calm things but it wasn't working so reluctantly resorted to cards and LT made it easy for him to choose his first open play one - he was sending a message imho.

The second is a grey area of interpretation. I still think if he doesn't boot it he gets away with a final warning but he chose to compound it. Height of stupidity. It is a great quality in players being able to play with a yellow but sorry, he got caught up in the emotion.

Glasgow derby, Rangers player gets a yellow for his first foul and the ref points to various places round the pitch. No, you ought not to tot up other players' fouls so stupid from the ref but managing the game you might have to send a message to all the players that 'leniency and flow of the match is up, you never cooperated'.

LT was pumped. Saka with the armband maybe needed to help him but not the experience same as Myles getting a yellow before he'd had his debut - future pub quiz certainty! Arteta had them pumped maybe too much? You can argue it kinda worked or didn't.

The first yellow wasn’t soft, he quite clearly hung on to Savinho’s shirt which is a yellow card offence according to the rules

If they handed out red cards for shi**housery, Arsenal would have been down to 5 men after 80 minutes

That would be unlikely because the ref has to abandon the game when it goes to less than seven

Go take a look at the BBC website right now and tell me they are not pushing PGMOL or anti-Arsenal narrative:

"You know what you need to feed the public this morning right Tim?"

"The Arsenal super-villain stories again boss?"

"That's right Tim, good boy, you can clock off an hour early today".
