Looking on the bright side Carsley could soon be available to take over at Old Trafford, now that Southgate seems to have ruled himself out.

Considering the size of Wales, its footballing identity, the fact the country historically prefers Rugby to football..

Pound for pound Wales is the United Kingdoms best and most successful international football team historically.

England should learn a thing or two from Welsh football

Can’t rule out Southgate yet. Why do you think ETH is still there? United are almost certainly waiting for someone…..

England are the most valuable international side ever assembled at: €1.46bn

I'd love to know how you arrived at that figure.

Foden, Lewis, Saka, Colwill and TAA all came through their clubs' acadamies.

Are you saying the rest of the squad cost about €200m each?

Greece down there at 175.8m, making it the biggest difference in player values in history. And England lost. It would be like Usain Bolt losing in a 100m race to Roy from EastEnders.

First of all, I agree with the premise of this thread. Period.

However … Foden £150m … Saka £140m … TAA £70m … I could go on with virtually every valuation on there. Still, I guess they’re only worth what a brain-dead Saudi fraudster-cum-assassinator will pay for them.

Wales?

Is this the same '...and Wales' that is appended onto England?

On the plus side, Shirley Valentine rediscovered herself after being pumped by Costas so...*

* I never saw the game, never knew they were playing, no idea if it was a pumping, but this is JA and exaggeration is expected

If Greece knew the offside rule they would put 4/5 past England.

First half was even , 2nd half Greece by far the stronger team. England were absolutley guff.

Carsley, of course, is a proper scholar of the game:

"The beauty of this job is you get a lot of time to think. In between driving from game to game you are constantly thinking about combinations, relationships."

Big difference between ‘Market Value’ and what a player actually cost
