Yes, we do need to bounce back from those two home defeats: Norwich and the imaginary one. The latter was very hard to take. It was so unexpected.

Oxford away always makes me feel a pang of guilt! We played there the weekend after Bobby Moore died. There was an impeccable minutes silence spoilt by someone, I thought, chattering away behind me. I turned round to demonstrate only to be told it was my tranny radio in my pocket which I'd left switched on.

Safely arrived at the Kassam. Some sort of park adjacent where I am currently observing a heron.

Also a cat. Neither of them are doing a fat lot if I'm honest.

Couple of moorhens pottering about. Quite a pleasant scene, marred slightly by all of the plastic bags floating around.

Are they carrier bags or smaller, translucent types?

The former. Heron has flown off now. Ah well. Fun while it lasted.

The spectacle of a Heron should be enough excitement for the evening but who knows.............
