Another 0-0 I reckon

Two clear goals imo.
Ugarte will improve our midfield.
Rasmus our attack.

They have been pretty shocking.. I think we'll scrape by this one.

posted 20 hours, 45 minutes ago

We won’t if Zirkzee starts upfront

I admire your optimism 52 but it does border being delusional at times.

And knowing ETH it will be back to Case, Eriksen & Bruno again on Sunday.

posted 20 hours, 30 minutes ago

Not what we’ll see but if I’m picking the team I’d go:

Onana
Dalot De Ligt Martinez Maz
Ugarte Casemiro Eriksen
Amad Hojlund Rashford

West Ham have won one match since August. That day in August was the last time we lost an away match as well. It's the most guaranteed victory of all time. Although we have drawn our last 4 away games...

It's another must win for United whatever team he picks. One think is for sure Bruno wil play.

Yes we know he will play.

I thought when we brought Casemiro on last night and had a trio of Eriksen, Case & Ugarte we looked much better.

I never thought I’d be sitting here this season advocating for Case & Eriksen but here we are.

I think we looked better because all those three were playing in midfield! There's no reason why Bruno can't reign it in a bit either but I'm sure it's manager's instruction to allow him to do what he does.

Whilst I am not a fan of Eriksen I would prefer to see him in a midfield three with three forwards of which none is Bruno, than see us keep playing 4-2-3-1 with Bruno.

Yes although Bruno is at his best when close to goal. We won’t see it but I’d love a 5 or 6 game stretch with him as an impact sub rather than a guaranteed starter.

It’s not like we looked any worse without him.

Eriksen would have been one of the first out the door in the summer but he’s improved a fair bit on last season and is looking more like the player who was good for us up until Andy Carroll injured him.

He must be one of our leaders in goal contributions also.

Why not process?

Surely this team is now full of players that press and not only score goals.

West Ham looked terrible against Tottenham, as a common recent game you looked better with ten men than they did all game.

Ten Hag to kickstart West Ham's season that's on life support

Honestly how can anyone hate this guys

We still created next to fack all.

We had control of the game, but beyond the goal and set pieces, what other chances did we create? Rashford’s solo run cutting in from the right. Beyond that, what am I forgetting?

That’s why Bruno’s in there, and why he’ll start at the weekend. He created the winner in his last game for United, he created two goals on international duty (and was MOTM against Poland), and he’ll create more chances than anyone else on the pitch against West Ham, as he does almost every week he plays.

Zirkzee fluffed two basic passes to play in Rashford and Garnacho last night. Bruno would have delivered probably both of those.

If we had proven alternatives who could deliver, guaranteed, two or three key passes a game (as much as the rest of the side musters combined), then we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

If we were set up to play as a low risk, possession-obsessed LVG-type side, rather than a transition-based side, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. But here we are.

In your opinion is there a way of getting Bruno into the side AND also play a bit more of a disciplined game. I don't watch much of Portugal admittedly but, when I do, he looks different to the United Bruno. Perhaps because he's got better players around. I don't know.

Not what we’ll see but if I’m picking the team I’d go:

Amad Hojlund Rashford
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Swap Amad for Nacho and I agree.

He's inconsistent but generally Garnacho gets or makes us match winning chances.

I'd actually like to see Amad in the #10 role.

I still Nacho is a better impact sub than starter.

There a moment last night that summed up exactly where he's at as a player.

Got the ball on the half line, took a brilliant touch and turn, left his man for dead, bearing down on goal and took a heavy touch straight into the next man.

He's energetic, a threat and has moments but still lacks composure.

His role for Portugal is now closer to the one he plays for United, although he doesn’t spend quite as much time up alongside Ronaldo as he does Hojlund.

I mean, he has played extensively at eight for Sporting and for Portugal historically. It isn’t like he can’t fulfil eight-type roles. If we had Rodri in the squad and players around Bruno who worked as hard as he does, I wouldn’t worry about Bruno and Eriksen/Mount playing at eight.

But sadly we don’t. We don’t have the talent and legs at six, and we have only two other forwards in Mount and Hojlund who work hard enough and are smart enough in the press.

posted 19 hours, 9 minutes ago

Ross. How would you line up with Bruno in the side in order to get the best out of him and also the best out of the team overall?

posted 19 hours, 8 minutes ago

*Rosso even!
