I got ID'd in Tesco the other day for some mango energy juice. ID is important to have. Or you risk not getting mango energy drink.

Out of sheer curiosity, why are people against voter ID?

Not a leading question I’m genuinely curious why this is deemed to be a problem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t get this either
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have never had to do it before because instances of fraud are so minuscule.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s fine but what is the problem providing ID
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some people don't have it, don't have the time to get it, don't have the money to pay for it.

What else needs explaining here?

The real interest starts after trump loses.
How this fraud is even allowed to run is a black mark on the country.
The many court cases and tons of hard evidence will have trumps fat ass
either in court or jail for the rest of his pathetic life.
He'll be very entertaining finally.

I reckon if Trump loses many of his people will abandon him and start leaking more and more things that damn him. I can see him flying to Moscow or Saudi to evade justice and hopefully the likes of RFK Jr, Tulsi the Russian asset and Elon Musk get what’s coming to them.

What happened to personal accountability.

The only section of society that is disadvantaged is that which cannot be arrsed to get ID in the 5 years between elections.

The fact that people can even consider voting for a self confessed s*x pest, adjudged to have committed sexual assault, is a convicted fraudster, steals national secrets and incites an insurrection beggars belief. I'm not sure the UK is well served by politicians but compared to the orange conman they are the perfect politicians.

Also interested in this, who doesnt have the time or money to pay for id? dont you get a birth certificate or driving license in the U.S?

Fml.

If people want to see an ID mandate introduced for voting, the burden *is on them* to explain and prove *why* such a mandate should be introduced.

Not on others to explain why it shouldn’t.

Or can we start campaigning, say, for a home crocheted scarf mandate for voters? Or a strawberry blancmange mandate?

What next? People requiring ID or a license to buy a gun???

Voting is more dangerous than buying a gun as well.

With a gun you can only really kill like a few people in the immediate surrounding.

With a vote, for Trump, you can kill millions of people over a longer time period, all around the world.

i think it says more about the damage that previous politicians/presidents have done for it to get to this point where people want something SOOO different that he may be President again.

Seriously, I think the US education system fails to give people the skills needed for critical thinking and Hollywood and TV spoon feeds the audience to remove any need for cognitive process, 'London, England' etc. Then when somebody as obviously transparent as a snake oil salesman like Trump takes time off from peddling bibles, shoes, watches etc on the internet to run for President promising world peace and the end to inflation in 24 hours a large proportion of the population swallows the bait whole.

If Trump wins, his puppet master Putin will order him to stop sending arms to Ukraine so Putin will feel empowered to have a go at Estonia on the pretext of linking up to Kaliningrad and Europe will be on the brink of a major war. Other NATO countries will stop sharing raw intelligence with the US as Trump obviously cannot be trusted with it. The world will become a very dangerous place.

Trump won’t have the (somewhat) sensible military people around him this time, imagine who he appoints to work in that capacity 😬
