Why have you put 15.30?

It wasn't a must win last week but it certainly is this week.

It’s a “must not draw or lose” proper six pointer.

2-0 Wolves

I shall be going but with some trepidation

Such a big game not just for GON but for Wolves as a club. Southampton look like relegation certainties to me. If we can’t beat them then what’s that say about Wolves. If we don’t win this, and still stick with GON then we’re taking an enormous risk with our future. We can bring in new players in January but if we don’t win some games before then, that could be too late.

Read today that the club is valued at around £480m. Fosun will be aware that valuation will be much lower if we’re in the Championship. So they will be very keen to protect their investment.

Really don’t care how poor, how boring, how nerve wracking this game proves to be. Just want us to win

Once again I will say 2-1 to the good guys.
Absolutely a must win game and will really begin to fear for the rest of the season if otherwise.
Lose and GON will be gone.

Copy & paste error, need some coaching on that but halfy is hardly ever here these days.

Johnstone fit, trained all week. Hwang trained today and "looked sharp". Maybe not ready to start tomorrow though.

GON, "I don't ask the club for any backing or support, I'm very comfortable in my own skin and the work we do. I've given everything and there's been some challenges. It's important I take full responsibility and we embrace every challenge."

"I have full responsibility and we are where we are. The next game is the one we can effect and our preparation has gone very well. The boys are looking forward to the challenge."

I’m getting quite concerned by some of his statements?

Just maybe he needs to start asking the club for some backing and fackin support FFS

Difficult to know what support he's getting internally, I listened to radio 5 earlier, they played a recording of their interview with Matt Hobbs from back in September where he 100% backed "Gaz" regardless of the circumstances. Felt like a bit of a set up

Michael Brown saying he was a promising young coach and should be given time, Farrah Williams saying regardless of the Southampton result he world be gone during the International window. Honestly I think they're both guessing, they both seem quite well informed but not when it comes to Wolves, but suspect that Williams may have guessed better.

Bookies make Wolves odds on favourites to win today. First time that’s happened this season. Hope they know what they’re talking about.

Spangles - are the games decent to watch, putting aside the results? It sounds like we are an omnishambles defensively (not helped by the sales and loss to injury), but would reinforcements in January remedy all the issues?

Not seeing games I can’t judge ( and highlight reels don’t give the full picture and can be biased too), but it felt for much of last year GON had made us a much more cohesive team and, attacking wise, much better than for years. For this reason I am not in the GON out camp yet, but I am concerned we are at risk of being cut adrift.

In my opinion, two quality Premier League centre backs would put right 80% of our problems. This was the bare minimum of what was required in the summer, given the manager’s preference for playing with a back four.

It wasn’t even a gamble that didn’t pay off to bring in nobody, it was defensive suicide and complete madness.

Let’s just hope that Southampton haven’t been watching any of our recent highlights, or have players that can put the ball into our penalty area

I’m starting to wonder what I’m getting for my 17.5 % STH price hike?

Fosun Out!

I think we've generally been progressive in possession with the exception of the City game when we just kept booting the ball as far away from our box as possible.

There have been individual errors at the back and poor individual performances from defenders and keepers. But in general you get the impression that the focus on training has been on attacking and midfield shape and formation in the various phases in and out of possession. I think that's where O'Neil is strong tactically, but defensively its been a bit laissez-faire.

This is definitely a must win game for GON. I've watched most of our league games this season and it seems to me that our opponents have figured out that if they close us down when we have the ball, it puts us under a great deal of pressure to move the ball forward, hence all the sideways and backward passes we do.

We also have the worst defence and that really concerns me. If we play 4 at the back then Semedo and RAN are our full backs. Both are better wing backs. If we play 3 at the back, then in the absence of Mosquera (who I rate) we have Santi, Dawson and Toti. We should then have 2 defensive midfielders in front of them like we had with Neves and Moutinho. In my opinion that would make us more solid at the back, but also make us a team who relies on breaks. I think Lemina and Andre could do that job, but this season Lemina seems to have been given a free role.

For the most part from what I've seen, we are very disjointed and for most of the time, Larsen is isolated up front and Cunha blows hot and cold.

I'm sure GON knows what he wants, but to me, it ain't happening on the field. We have some very talented players and GON needs to get the best out of them before it's too late.

I also hope he uses some of our new youngsters more, or he'll never be in charge to see them progress. For this game RAN needs a rest.

Nearly slipped off the 'ol soap box.

Rank stupidity from Shi, even before the on field shambles.

Pond on the bench which highlights our lack of depth.

Who would you play in place of RAN wolfie?

Another weird formation on both BBC and Transfermkt. 3-4-2-1. Sarabia still ahead of Guedes. Our most expensive signing (Andre) still on the bench and to answer your question WO, I'd try Rodrigo Gomes our 2nd most expensive summer signing.

Guedes, in particular deserves a start. I sincerely hope GON gets 3 points today with that starting line up.

Looks like the weird lopsided set up again. Just don't think it works. Bit disappointed in that honestly. Saints play keep ball so lets see how this goes.
