It was a great result but I think it's too premature for the "I told you so"s. Supposing we now lose against Fulham?
Let's just wait and see if we can use this as a springboard to go on a good run. We've had enough of them already that haven't come to anything:
Great result and performance against United - Lose to Brighton
Great result and performance against West Ham - Lose to Palace
Great result and performance against Villa - Lose to Ipswich
Is this one going to be any different?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As said above. Win and it's wait and see.
Lose and it's Ange has lost the dressing room, fine by Christmas etc.
Conditional support.
No one is saying I told you so, but ALOT of you were predicting a mauling today, which would then be the start, of the end for Ange. Shock!
Now you have egg on face. Deal with it and own it ππ».

Hes capable of big results, the Spurs side has been for decades now. Enough dangerous players and enough money spent under Ange too 450m euros already? Issue he has is consistency, up and down. Especially crashing out of cups weakly and early etc.
Still after the negative football from some recent managers surely hes a breath of fresh air and worth sticking with? Also your owners seem to like him enough to invest heavily, been pumping the money in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
450 euros. Some creative rounding up there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He put an ‘m’ after 450, son
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mb did a quick search and saw that number must have included before spurs or sumin. Its 377m euros on 12 players with a fee averaging 31.4m a purchase. Since hes only been there 16 months its a lot of money. point was Levy hasnt been tight with him.
I wouldn’t get too carried away… yes, this is a great result… but how on earth did we lose at home to Ipswich…so there’s still something not right there… plus the loses to Brighton & Palace… we are truly Man City’s bogey team!!

But he can't keep losing every other game though and expect us to be on his side full time. If we can beat City 4-0 away from home, there is nothing I've seen from the next set of fixtures to suggest we should be losing any of them. Liverpool at home in 5 games time is our next most difficult fixture. I would expect to at least not be beaten until then.

And, in any case, the net spend is way more significant.
it's interesting that we've basically gone back to being a counter attacking team who's better against the teams that give us space to attack and struggle against the shiiiit teams who we have to break down.

I believe we are saying well done and credit where it’s due.
The issue as always is consistency, there’s no point getting a result like this if it’s followed up by a poor performance and result against lesser opposition the very next game. We have to BUILD on these results.
Plus it’s natural to be happy after a win and critical after a defeat, it’s all honest emotions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok who are you and what have you done with sizzle?
I imagine the level headed among the fanbase realise that Spurs are somewhere between the two results of losing to Ipswich and beating Man Cants.
Lets say 6th best in the land

Very few teams if any can pin City back. We beat them at home playing the same way, so was it that much of surprise we played counter attacking today? Especially at their place.
Even then, City cut us open a few times before we scored the first goal.
I was confident we would get something today as we seem to be in their heads
If we’d beaten Ipswich and Palace we’d be second, that’s what’s so frustrating!
We did well today considering that Ange has lost the dressing room
On a separate note, I’m more sure how I feel about Romero. I have a feeling we are better off without him, I think he flatters to deceive.
That said, the future is not Drag and Davies.

We're n9t the real deal yet. We could do with 1 or 2 top players and 1 or 2 decent back ups.
I don't think there's any harm in admitting that and that we are a work in progress....that doesn't deserve the doomsday scenario played out everytime we drop points.
Even when we lost to Galatasaray with a team of kids some on here were making a big deal about it. It's tiresome and some genuinely seem more content when we lose so they can churn out their narrative about Ange, Levy, Plan B, or whatever.

Drag looked so bad vs Galatasary, but otherwise has impressed. He seems as good a defender and better in the air, but Cutis use of the ball is far superior. Wouldn't mind them as a pair with no VDV for a few weeks more.
