Thing with Liw I find is he's frustratingly correct a lot of the time. Never met, but get the impression he just speaks plainly - I actually prefer that from people.

———————————————————————-

I just say it has I see it, but will alway change my view, if a player gets better but I didnt rate, I dont look for mistakes to prove I was right all along. Too many cant or wont do it.

Lets take NJS view on Biesla, No issue at all, and can understand why he think that way.

But its the complete nonsense he has come out with since trying to defend his View. Completely ignores the first two seasons, where defensively we were brilliant.

Then blames him for relegation, despite 18 months later, £120m wasted and 4 managers.

Just makes him look a kant.

NJS has fallen out of love for football along time ago, he said so, not even sure if he still goes.

Doesnt understand Modern Football, and it comes out in his comments.

Shame decent chap, just knows very little about football 🀷🏻‍♂️

VOF, sorry to hear about your loss!..

As for the Bielsa argument, he lost his job while he had a lot of injurys, when he was shown the door injured players were retuning, if they had returned a week or three ealier than I don't think Bielsa would have lost his job!..

Yep, I wasn't happy when he went and have said a few times I think if he'd had stayed he would have kept us up, and I still think that!..

As for his defense, every club he's been at he's played the same, he even said when he came to us he plays attacking football and as long as we score 1 more than the opposition then he's happy!..

He never ever blamed the players when his plan didn't work!..

I’ve often wondered why some on here don’t just PM each other on WhatsApp etc. They seem to be determined to denigrate others; to shout down any comments that don’t agree with their own (classic ‘Groupthink&rsquo. Maybe they just get off on it?

Come on own up, were you one of the cult that I referred to? At least, having played many games on grass and not sat down looking at a screen…I know the role of a striker…the clue is in the description “striker”

Well said, MB was a breath of fresh air in the game, never blamed the players as you said and never moaned about refereeing decisions either. He behaved with dignity at all times was loved by the fans and I too believe we might possibly have survived if he had got the injured players back sooner.

In any case I would have preferred to have taken a chance with MB's way of playing than the farce with JM that followed. It's all ancient history now of course.

we see it now with Bamford, Meslier, Firpo, Aaronson

--------‐-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bamford is finished & basically has been for a couple of years. Yes he scored a few last season, yes he scored that screamer in the FA Cup, but his all round play has suffered possibly due to all the injuries he's had. His last start against Middlesbrough in the League Cup laid his deficiencies bare. It looks like even Farke can see the writing on the wall now.

It's ok not to rate him without being called a w@nker.

Meslier has been prone to huge costly errors for a few years now. This is not a new phenomenon. When Allardyce embarrasingly came in to milk the club in a final desperate throw of the dice, what was the only real change he made? After some awful mistakes, Meslier was out.
The 2nd goal yesterday was pitiful. Not just because for a man of around 6.5 feet he went down in instalments, but for his positioning. If Kiko Casilla had made a few of his recent errors, particularly the one at Sunderland, there would have been absolute carnage!!

If you don't rate Meslier, it doesn't mean you're a w@nker.

Junior Firpo took some time to settle in to this country but i always felt the criticism of him was a bit over the top.

But if you don't rate him, it doesn't mean you're a w@nker.

Aaronson was shown up in the Premiership after a promising start. He still sometimes looks to lack physicality, but he's made some decent contributions this season, albeit at a lower level.

But if you still don't rate him, it doesn't make you a w@nker.

We all have opinions. If you rate a player i don't, that doesn't make you a better or worse person than me.

Interestingly, one player who came in for some of the harshest criticism on here from some of the loudest voices was a certain Monsieur Rutter. I remember a few calling him our "worst ever signing". Now that was ridiculous.

Chill. Peace. Stop the keyboard warrior stuff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100% agreed, White, the number of personal comments, veiled or otherwise, is just ridiculous. This is my point of view. You are welcome to agree or disagree or provide your own view. That’s what makes this a great forum, but to abuse people just because you don’t agree with them, that is just plain rude.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a much better forum a few years ago. The personal attacks have become ridiculous.

If I wanted childish disagreements over simply having a different point of view to someone else, I'd express an opinion on Facebook!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Keep commenting, creating and debating is the tag line for this site. I try to stick to that. I did find the title of the thread a bit over the top - a headline grabber so to speak - but hey, it got me to click so it worked.

I (try) to respect all viewpoints on here. Don't think i've resorted to abuse in recent memory (there were periods years ago where it became a melee of cheery and dreary points of view).

Life has dealt some horrendous blows in recent years (grandson murdered in Halifax being the main one), so my perspective on life has changed. I really enjoy reading the differing view points - and i do think some should think more before typing.

Problem with any website, in my view, is that it's all the typed word. Stuff said on here, if said in a pub, with body language and more context would just be considered a good footy chat. This forum, as great as it is, loses that and convo's can deteriorate as a result.

Personally i find it a great source of info on the club, good to see viewpoints differing to mine (makes me think about other options on team performances).

Different opinions, even if based on a hunch not cast-iron facts, I like to read them. Very, very few of us close enough to the club to know exactly what's happening.

As for Mes - he'll do for now, but in my view we need better if promoted.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Great post, and so very sorry to learn of your loss. Must put everything in stark perspective. All the very best to you.

I hope no one on here is painting LIW as the victim.

I've been on the Ja boards from almost day one.
Before that, on the beeb board with some great
posters. That entire time, almost 20 years,
LIW has run off more great posters than anyone.
He's a prolific cyber bully. One man's "he say it like it is"
is another posters "fck this sh 1 t I'm leaving."

I realize I was the target of Spanish and a few others
earlier in this thread. Keep it up. Call me and others
a w@nker all you like. Fact is, I love this team.

I have 3 issues with it though. One, Bamford is stealing
a living and has been for 3 seasons. Yet he continues to whine, berate his team mates, and believe he's
better than he is. Two, Farke has a habit of being a football handbrake. When we should be absolutely
killing teams, he sits back. He encourages too much
pressure when we have a better team. Three, Meslier
is nowhere near the keeper Farke or a few make out.
He hasn't improved. And he's not Prem level.

Saying that, all 3 will remain with the club until we
get promotion. Which we all want more than anything.

It's all opinions. And as someone said earlier in the
thread, online activity is void of emotion. I have always
approached this as if we were in a pub, having a laugh.

Yes, I'm a bit crude. I'm a bit daft. I have a laugh.
But, I appreciate other fans opinions. As long as you
are not just being a d1 k about it. And I know we're all Leeds. I'm not going anywhere either. Love it too much.
So, attack me all you want. But, isn't that a waste of energy?

Mont you don’t need to leave, as far as I’m concerned you are a valued and popular member of this forum.
VOF, Milkyboy and White have all made excellent contributions on this thread today, really giving insights into attitudes they have when posting….good advice in my opinion, worthwhile taking on board what they write.
My view is people take everything far too seriously…the other side of the coin is that football forums are hilarious, especially the Leeds forum…comedy gold the opinions people have, but that’s enough about me….calm down Mont and see you soon on the football comic!

Food for thought….quite a few years ago on the forum someone decided to publish an article, can’t remember the title, but the essence of the article was who would you pick to go on holiday with and who would least like to go on holiday with, members on the forum?
Batty picked me as the least he would want to go on holiday….cant think why?!
But I like Batty….like his style, can be a bit abrasive, but he has some fire, direct and funny!
I think he likes me because we both dislike Bamford, that’s how forums work, it’s like the Beano, comical.
