Mate I was in the Maldives for my honeymoon over Christmas and the way they decorated that was incredible. The beach, palm trees, all sorts of awesome stuff had amazing lights. The entire island was lit up. Beautiful.
In London we get this tree.

I saw a stack of Radio Times by the counter at the local Co Op the other day. It brought a tear to the eye. Just lying there, abandoned like a pile of unused tampons at a trans convention, all because of the lefty woke brigade.

I almost picked one up but couldn't bring myself to do it. Too many memories of flicking through looking for the latest Indiana Jones movie to premiere after the queen's speech as well as the traditional Two Ronnies christmas special. Those days won't be coming back again. The work shy yoof of today, they don't know they're born. Bring back capital punishment I say!

..................

Bearing in mind that Woke means to have an understanding of social inequality and injustice, I have to ask what is wrong with being woke?

I would have thought that this is something everyone should be.

I realise my sarcasm often gets lost on here. Before woke it was termed political correctness gone mad. It's all just bollox designed to trigger knuckle heads. There are extreme views on the right and left but if we actually had a grown up debate about concerns in society instead of divisive rhetoric we'd be far better off for it. The past 10 years have been an absolute mess with how polarised everything has become, no doubt in my mind thanks to the outcome of the brexit which emboldened views which prior to this were considered extreme and consigned to the past.

It opened a pandora's box where pretty much all aspects of tackling social inequality is considered dangerous and also a sign of failure. All helped on by the explosion of social media which has tbf also given oxygen to a minority of inconsiderate narrow-minded left wing nonsense which is great ammunition to the batshit lunatics on the right.

The UK receives a Xmas tree from Norway every year as a thank you for our help to our scandi neighbours during WW2. This year is has been decorated in a traditional Norwegian fashion.

What is there to be outraged about?

Where do you live now?

And it's not 'awful awful', it's been better yes, but it's not as bad as some make it out to be.

I live in Arizona.

And I have visited the UK often, but three times the last year was enough for me. The country has noticeably regressed and a truly miserable experience when visiting now.

And that ignores the absolutely miserable weather which is a life changer once you live somewhere with good or even normal weather.
