“The truth is, I would say no comment, but Man City completes every year, you see how Liverpool strengthens the squad, Chelsea strengthens the squad, if one doesn’t do well, they strengthen again, and now they’re seeing results. Those are the things to imitate.
In the last few years, it’s always the same people responsible at Tottenham, hopefully they realise who the true responsible ones are and we move forward, because it’s a beautiful club and with the structure it has could easily be competing for the title every year”

Another on an ever growing list of people that actually work with levy to call the khant out.
Still I’m sure the Enic heads, especially the ones on here, will know better and find yet more sorry excuses whilst they pay the increase on their season tickets
I think my favourite excuse this summer was ‘we can’t block the path for the younger players’
Then, despite all these injuries, we hardly see the younger players.
Absolute belter that one

Yep
You should have a path to bring through to the first team for your talented youngsters whilst also spending big on top players who improve your xi and fix your big immediate issues
We do neither
Instead spend between the 30 to 60 million mark on the the better players at smaller clubs
Its funny that he point at Liverpool, A team that bought no one this summer bar a sick note from Italy, and a club who we routinely outspend.
None of Gakpo, Nunez, Jota, Endo, Szoboszlai have been particularly stand out signings. Very decent but nothing to rave about. Their squad is still held together by a lot of the old guard and it will be interesting to see how they transition to a rebuild when the likes of TAA, Salah, VVD move on/retire because these are the WC experienced and successful leaders that hold them together are remain the core of the squad and club.
We dont have that to build from and while i agree with Romero that we need to reinforce further, he also needs to look at himself. Davies has been more reliable at CB this season than Romero.
If Romero doesnt drop off and lose Vardy, doesnt get lost tracking Gabriel, doesnt step up when the whole defence is dropping vs NUFC, doesnt stand and watch instead of marking his man vs BHA, then we're at least 5 points better off, we have not lost half our games, we are not giving opposition hope that any minute now we'll feck up and gift you something.
Sort your ownshiiit out first Romero before pointing the finger!

The only player that has been relevant to is Moore, and his absence has been through injury and we've seen quite a lot of him so far.

If he had been at the level he routinely hits for his country, then our season would be looking very different. Is Romero saying come on Levy buy a RCB who doesn't feck up every other week? because he has been one of our worst performers and he is a world cup winning experienced international and a vice captain at Spurs!
He's injured now and we are a bit short at CB and that is costing us, but before these injuries started piling up Romero was costing us!

Done at Spurs because we’re a shambolic joke of a club and have been for over 20 years.
Those that are criticising Romero for his performances this season are right to do so. However, don't let that get lost in the bigger picture. The bigger picture is definitely that the club has not gone that extra mile (ever) in order to build a squad capable of winning things.
That's why I'm not part of the Ange-out brigade. He has his faults, but he needs a squad that has quality in depth. Let's hope the rebuild continues in January

Thanks Devon, saved me the time my thoughts exactly.
Always makes me smile when a player says they should strengthen when to do si, would probably mean they won't be playing and want to leave.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And who could blame him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he had been at the level he routinely hits for his country, then our season would be looking very different.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe the manager just doesn’t know how to get the best out of his players.

Yeah I think Romero is done and will be gone by next summer.

Done at Spurs, because we have no ambition.

Well whether we train on the defence enough is a valid question, who knows ? But it doesnt look like it and Romero is not alone in gifting chances to the opposition.
