How often do we see when Farke has looked at players?..
Like I've said, players people are always suggesting around here,(or on other internet sites!)never seem to come, that might be a case of the 49ers checking their search results/who they're looking at, thinking it'll work, then talking to Farke, then when they agree they go after that player!..
I asked back there somewhere, when has a player people have suggested here been brought in, I don't think one since the 49ers took over, but most of what they have brought in unknown to us have done exactly what has been wanted!..
Falke might be saying nothing coming in, but maybe he's waiting for what the 49ers find, maybe they are looking for that player some are shouting for, but maybe it'll be another complete stranger nobody here thinks about!..

There are whispers of Rennes coming in for Meslier for about £15 million. That money could come in useful for a couple of quality loans. And yes before anyone starts, i know he played well the other night!! He's expressed a wish before about returning to France, wouldn't be surprised if this happens unless Farke is very much against it.
We simply have to get Bamford out of the club however we can. It's also a good point that for all the stick he gets, if Piroe picked up an injury we'd suddenly look exposed. For all his promise, Joseph simply doesn't look ready yet. I think we'll be in for a striker & finally wave goodbye to Bamford.

Who will come and who will come in for Paddy on £35k a week?
Easy to say what we need but finding sellers (and buyers in this scenario) isn’t easy.
I can’t see Paddy going anywhere unless a team matches his wages or we subsidise them to some extent.

As for who will come in, the 49ers aren't stupid & i'm sure they have targets, none of which will be known right up to the last minute.
Some sort of way out for Bamford will be negotiated i believe. He has a face like a smacked ar$e probably due to his current situation which may help in said negotiations if he does actually want to play football any more. At present he's a waste of a shirt.

Agree with you Stoopo, he’s probably on a bonus should we go up, and then back to his full wage for the final year of his contract. I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t ride this contract out. I would like him to get a couple of goals and pass Kewell on the all time scorers list.

I don’t see anyone on what I’ve read so far addressing the dilemma Farke may have going into the transfer market…it can’t be easy does he stick, or twist?
There is a group of players that are playing high intensity football, call it the core of the team: Rodon, Strutijk, Rothwell, Tanaka, James, Firpo, Gnonto, Bogle…haven’t included Ampadu because of injury…these players are mostly playing 2 games in 7 days and it will continue into the season.
The question is can these players continue playing the 2nd part of the season as they have the 1st part?
The high intensity of going for the prize could have serious consequences…injuries and loss of form primarily from that group, 3 or 4 players suffering that high intensity of playing could well be detrimental in the later or middle stages of 2025…it won’t be lack of quality within the group, more a lack of of durability.
Leeds can’t afford to miss out on promotion again…for me a striker is top priority to sign in the window, plus maybe one or two others for cover.
Ideally sign a striker with some dynamism, with a skill set to match, push the boat out if necessary.
I like my strikers to be dynamic and ‘dirty’ ….in my opinion the strikers we’ve had these past few seasons have been too passive…Piroe just doesn’t do it for me, for his size he’s too passive, not enough speed to go past defenders, just can’t see him in the Premier league.
Joseph may or may not be the answer, the jury is still out with him, maybe he still needs a season or two to blossom? I think we need to buy in the transfer market, in fact I think it’s essential.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NJS is 100% on the money here. Injuries, loss of form, not to mention the pressure of expectations can all affect the team’s performance. Just look at what a difference those extra players made to Ipswich and Southampton last season. And look how we struggled without DJ and Rutter. We have to learn from this. Yes, our team is getting better with every game, but a couple of key injuries and we are in serious trouble. Bring in players in January, and we anticipate problems before they arise. Who knows? They may even prove to be as good as, or better, than what we’ve got.
posted 5 days, 2 hours ago
Cant see us signing a striker unless a club takes a punt on Bamford which will be unlikely due to his wages.
Could see us bringing in a number 10 on loan from somewhere.
Think Joffy will go out on loan somewhere and probably do okay there. A lower end champ club would suit him.

Home many bloody wingers do you want sat on the bench?
The club has to look at it objectively. Have two decent players for each position and assume we aren’t unlucky enough to have them both injured at the same time.
Keeper - Meslier. Cairns. Darlow
Full backs - Bogle. Firpo. Byram. Schmidt. Wober. Debayo.
Centre Backs - Rodon. Struijk. Ampadu. Debayo. Wober. My guess is Tanaka could play here too.
Midfield - Ampadu. Tanaka. Gruev. Rothwell. Crew. Guilavogui. Aaronson.
Wingers - Gnonto. James. Solomon. Aaronson. Ramazani.
Strikers. Piroe. Joseph. Joffy. Bamford.
Some, like Amps and Wober, Byram, etc can play in multiple positions if we get unlucky.
It’s obvious that the only real issue is in the Striker department as both Bamford and Joffy are/ have struggled and Joseph is not there yet. Hopefully this is the one they look at in January but my doubts still stand - who comes and who goes?

Farkness, I think that's the balance tho isn't it? - What are the FFP implications of signing players we don't necessarily need right now?
who is available and is better than we currently have?, and why are they available?
I've never been a fan of loans, but is that the way to go for the this season?
The club will make decisions and try to find that balance.. there really is little point in adding bang average players to our squad.

I think our recruitment is a lot better than bringing in 'bang average' players. What do you think to the story doing the round about Buendia possibly heading this way? He's a player who could definitely do a job for us, and with his ties to Farke, he would settle in very quickly.

Cant see us signing a striker unless a club takes a punt on Bamford which will be unlikely due to his wages.
Could see us bringing in a number 10 on loan from somewhere.
Think Joffy will go out on loan somewhere and probably do okay there. A lower end champ club would suit him.

What happens if Gnonto, James, Solomon and Ramazani all get injured? Who will play on the wings?

What happens if one of our rivals signs a player we could have signed and he scores for them?
