They had been having a sxeual relationship for a year. That's my concern.

There was enough information to show that the guy had been a dkic.

There was not enough information to conclude whether it was right for the criminal justice system to become involved, imo.

To me, it comes down to the motive of the woman in pressing charges. Did she do it because he had scared her and forcibly molested her when he knew it was against her will ? Or did she do it because he'd been such a dkic he had to dump him, so she wanted some kind of payback for the dissapointment of their relationship going nowhere ?

I'm all for society taking action against the first. I am concerned that society also facilitates the second, as a part of a wider movement to denegrate men and reduce them to womens' total subservience and disadvantage.

What is clesr from the article i read was that a major part of the reason for poloce involve,ent was that he called his girlfriend an, "aussie sltu". To me it is absurd that a man can lose his career for calling his girlfriend an aussie sltu during their breakup. The law and our wociety is all too keen to recognise the feelings of women in every situarion imaginable, however it turns a blind eye to and disregards the feelings of men.

To me, any time in history until about 5 years ago, the woman walks away from that telling the guy he's dumoed. She goes home and has a bit of a cry before going out on the pull the next night, and he goes home and holds his head in his hands for a month. End of.

Ok. Reading thst i was right. Police involvement was ridiculous, and for the man to lose his career over trying to keep his girlfriend is utterly farcical. We live in a joke of a country.

In the first story, Harriet Harman expresses outrage at maltreatment of women, citing an event in her university days, when she claims she was offered a top degree, if she slept with a tutor.

Now, excuse me. But should that not be men who are complaining ?

Tbf, it's not just men who should be complaining.

It's all hard working, principled students, men and women, of which harman was probably one.

Students who want to work for heir degree, and not be handed it on a plate.

But harman shouldnt be protesting as a woman. It's not women who have been hard done by. There are plenty of students who would jump at the chance of getting a top degree for one night in the sack.

She should be protesting as someone who does things proberly.

It's nothing to do with women being disadvantaged. They arent. Some of them are given opportunities not available to most men. Many might not want the opportunity, but some always will.

It's not men who are the problem here. And it's not women who are the victim.

I would argue.

Isn't mentioned in the above link....but anyway, let's say you're right.....
Let's say she wanted to humilate him for whatever reason.....to get payback for 'something'.....
The something being this actual incidentDoesn't really work as an act of revenge if you're in the first act..
But forget that...........let's say this was 'payback'
At what point did she do ANY of the acts he is accused of?
Did she force him to pour drinks over her? or molest her?
Regardless of HER motive (recall he also got 'held back' by a bystander for pursuing her even further) he has to take responsibility for his own actions.
You don't molest people who dont want to be molested is a pretty standard rule to live by I feel

It must be an inner turmoil to have a little boy on the one hand and a dirty old aggressive sexpest on the other.
