But I should say so yeah. At a place called Mambo in the Usambara (?) Mountains. Looking down over the planes can see half way across the country. Lovely colours. Big bright white clouds casting their shadows over the browns and bright greens below.

17 quid a night too.

I add a fair bit of dust obvs. But actually other than that it's pretty clean and tidy. The other place in towns where everyone goes. I walked there for lunch which was decent (especially the peanut soup), but it's 3 times the price and you get some fat Russian mare talking to you constantly about sponsoring a local child's education. Nice cause but not when I'm eating my fackin lunch thanks. Right choice.

I can’t work out the joke if the spelling mistake is intentional. Otherwise that’s a shocker.

So I'm staying at the top of the mountain.

Half way down the mountain a couple of hours away is the town of lushoto.

City of dar es salaam is about 6 hours on from there.


Me: when I leave I will go to Dar. How can I get there please ?

Guest house guy: there is a direct bus that leaves at 5.30 in the morning.

Me: that's the only bus from here to Dar ?

Him: yes

Me: what about to lushoto ? Are there any other buses from here that go to lushoto ?

Him: yes there are 2 other buses that finish at lushoto

Me: great. What time do those leave ?

Him: they all leave at the same time. 5.30 in the morning.

Kenya just jntroduced new entry rules today so might need to forget that idea.

I'm in bed at 8pm btw

Think the joke was referring to the ‘but dustier’.

Colosseum was an auto correct although I’d spelt it wrong anyway initially.

My understanding is this:

- galv once ridiculously claimed to have stayed somewhere overlooking the colloseum

- I said my mossie net is like a victorian lady's petticoat, to which HYC replied saying it must be a bit dusty (as in noone's looked up her petticoat for a while)

After a 2 and a half hour delay due to deciding to change buses, I have finally got on a shared minibus bus for the final 350km. Could take a while, but am moving, have some leg room and am next to an open window.

The guy sitting behind me is in a very nice shirt, obvs dressed for NYE.

I have managed to cover the cutn in mango.

I have him £1.70 for his shirt, and he just gave it back to me. Nice guy.
