I don't really agree. Its been proven that Russian interference was one of the main factors in Trumps election and Brexit being achieved - they have done a lot of damage to our democracy and while we aren't innocent either its not like we have interefered with any of their elections.
Hell, Russian bots are such a f*cking issue that we even genuinely have one on this obscure as hell site
Similarly I think Russia in some circumstances have been allowed to 'play ball' and have let themselves down continually. Whether that is assassinating people on British soil; being allowed to host sporting events after the biggest doping scandal ever; expoliting European countries previous over gas exports; or events like trying to take Crimea.
I appreciate there are multiple sides to the story and you could paint the US (for example) in a bad light as well - however they have been dodgy as fack and have a lot of power globally.
P.S. speks does post like a Russian bot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not of the school though that democracy is sacrosanct. A great deal of western foreign policy is premised on the notion that it is. Democracy is good, anything else is bad. The irony is that the US sees itself as having the right to impose democracy on countries that don’t appear to want it. How undemocratic is that? This was a big part of the rhetoric on Syria, where a revolt was stirred up in the middle of the Arab spring but where in fact the majority of Syrian people revered Assad. This essentially turned into a war over democracy fuelled throughout by the west’s insistence that democracy should prevail. Recent surveys have suggested that the majority of people in numerous middle eastern and north African countries believe that their country’s economy is worse off under a democratic system. We assume on these peoples’ behalf that they want democracy, but in many cases they don’t. It’s just us as the west that want them to have it. So when you talk about Russia damaging our democracy, really my reaction is ‘so what’?. Look at all the damage that the ideal of democracy has done elsewhere in the world, at the trumpet call of the US and its allies.
I agree with you on Russia letting itself down with unacceptable actions, but to me a bigger issue is that it was Russia that essentially ended the cold way and said, hey enough is enough, let’s move on. And Russia did do that. Yeah it didn’t instantly become identical in its ways to the US and Europe, but who says it has a requirement to? The main thing is that it moved away from conflict with the west, and into an age where it had strong diplomatic relationships and strong commercial ties with the west. Russia let pretty much all of the ex members of its ‘empire’ go their own way and tolerated it when they moved to the west, including several ex Soviet countries joining or becoming allied to the EU. But Biden and the CIA still perceive Russia as the enemy. You need to look no further than the way Biden has said the name Putin as if it’s the embodiment of all evil, and that’s from way before recent events. And NATO let’s face it is essentially by definition an anti Russian military organisation, and what Russia would not and could not tolerate is NATO’s further and further expansion until it sits at Russia’s front door. Ukraine did not need to join NATO. It did not need to express a desire to join NATO. But NATO encouraged it to do so on the basis that it had “the right” to do as a democratic country. No cognisance of the diplomatic responsibility that democratic country has to its name, just its own democratic right, and fkuc anyone else. And Ukraine took up that encouragement, and refused to pay the ‘price’ of simply agreeing not to join NATO in order to avoid the hell of war. It was something that Russia could not tolerate and understandably so.

Id call that reflex tbf. Dont think it's a conscious deliberate action. In any case i cant imagine that the guys hand is placed actually on the girl's psusy.
ok, it's deliberate. fair fkucs to the lad
So I'm meeting this girl some time tomorrow - Monday - (she's giving me the time tomorrow), and I'm close to booking a flight leaving just before midnight on Tuesday.
It's £550 and everything else is at least £200 cheaper for the next week. Also I've told her I'm leaving on Tuesday.
I hate the idea that I'm going to get on with this girl and fireworks fly, and then I'm leaving the next day, but I think I've got to book it.
I'm pretty sure she's going back to France at the end of the week anyway, so if everything did go really, really, really, really well, I guess I could go and see her in France anyway.
There's a reasonable chance I won't even be able to see her anyway if the rash on my back's playing up. I can't fk around with this flight for the sake of a possible date with a woman i've not even kissed.
Also, she's here with her family, so she doesn't have time to spend the week with me here anyway.
there's now a 10pm flight for £600
she's leaving on wednesday anyway so all good.
glad i've booked it.
