We need a lot of things going our way though I think, we were relatively lucky with injuries last season and a lack of fixture congestion. Need to have that replicated for us to have real success I reckon.
Yeah definitely. I think it was some Tifo nerd that said in a video that actually we're not so far away really. On paper stats anyway. That's where my theoretical head is at.
But yeah coping with all the games will be a big challenge. For all the squads tbf. And getting lucky with injuries. Liverpool are particularly reliant on a few key players staying fit IMO where City and even us aren't quite so much.
You guys seen the Perisic pic going around?

James Horncastle really likes to say how attacking Conte is but while his logic is sound (wingers as wingbacks, fullbacks as centre backs, 3 attackers etc) I think the reality is it isn’t really true

I don't think it's helpful to describe Conte as attacking or defensive. His teams look very positive in possession and solid out of it.
Yeah we don't push up to the halfway line or sit on our own box by default but either can work within his patterns of play just as well. That's how it looks to me, anyway.
Pep/Klopp = attacking
Mourinho/Nuno = defensive
Ancelotti/Conte = pragmatic
Yeah he is pragmatic but it’s funny cos Poch was more attacking but played more defensive players whereas Conte plays more defensively but with more attackers
That's cos you always write 532 instead of 343. Those games where we dominate possession you could say 325
But yeah it's lazy to look at how a team lines up and say they're this or that. You know I'm kinda in the Poch overrated camp. He went from no plan b to trying everything and nothing working. Grate guy tho.
Ah man. He's always doing that
Bales/Tbaggy my good pal who moved to Vancouver under a year ago was out in the lakes for his birthday the other day. Looked incredible especially with the weather, you get nice stuff like that as well here but it doesn’t seem as crisp as it is over there.
Yeah there's something about the air up here. Plus I guess the water straight off the glaciers.. the lakes around Banff are crazy blue. Just got back from Squamish this weekend.. just incredible scenery all around.
Scotland is like that as well, those 3 days a year the weather is nice its the most serene place on earth
Yeah Edin some of them are incredible, especially if you go at the time of year where you get that crisp sunshine but still some snow on the mountains.
Bales, was floating around on Cat Lake on Saturday so would have been relatively close by

Oh shoot. We did the four lakes trail on Sunday. Just around the corner! Saturday we did the gondola tourist bit
Oh yeah how was it? I was actually at Alice Lake a few weeks back but we were with our mates who have a baby so couldn't do the trail unfortunately.
Not done the gondola either, swear the cable has been cut most of the time I've been here good?
