Is a long season. There's really not much between us and Villa and one or two of the rest to have an injury crisis or just chit form can easily happen.
A few wins and decent performances and everything looks different
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mmhmm
I can’t believe Mbuemo is only 25. Looks late 30s ffs
We definitely should be looking at him price dependant

That point in the season when you can still dream it's going to be exciting and interesting.
that was when she was at her best.
As a man who is well travelled, what are your experiences of the ME especially the Mediterranean side?
the mediterranean side of the ME?
hmmm
I think of Lebanon
which is a wonderful country. but I'd say not right in the current political climate.

On a wide definition:
-egypt. I've turned it down for a job previously. If I had the chance again as things have turned out I wuld have taken it, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Am sure in a senior position you could have pretty luxury though.

-lebanon Fantastic, but another time
-turkiye. difficult to answer. i think tax is problematic, or getting a residence visa or something (i remember looking into it once and there was some sort of difficulty). there are some problems, including a tanked economy and hyperinflation*, but could also be great. it's a country of great diversity.

I think you could live like a king for around €1000 a month in Egypt
Nah meant vacation, I’d love to go to Lebanon or Jordan (appreciate a bit more eastern) and always been curious of people have visited Syria as I know that there is so much history there

Not right now, although my sister was just in Jordan. But I do want to go across and was curious to see your reviews

Who knows when it will be back to normal.
I had a month in Lebanon about 7 or 8 years ago.
I intended to go to Beirut for the weekend, and ended up staying until the visa ran out. It was a terrific place to travel and to hang out. Some beautiful countryside, museums galleries etc, some OK beaches, interesting architecture, fun people. A great place to explore.
But even before recent events it has gone through a lot since then and I don't know what it would be like. Who knows when this is over, whenever that will be.
Jordan I didn't think much of. Petra was OK. Wadi Rum decent.
I never made it to Syria. I was in Jordan in 2011 and would have gone to Syria but the war was just breaking out. It had been top of my places I wanted to travel to. So much history there, but it has been through indescribable horrors since. I am sure it could be a great adventure, but I would want to find out more about the situation before going (and I know enough about now not to go).
You may also have to be wary of racism as it isn't a very diverse region. I had this conversation of mine with a pal of mine about turkiye and he said there was some rude looks etc. It didn't bother him much but I got the impression it might have done many.
Also it is a long way from America, but you are probably aware of that already.
Very extensive, thanks.
Yeah I am ausprirsed about what you said of Jordan but thats fair enough, of all the new wonders Petra definitely looks most appealing to me (that or Machu Picchu)
Also Lebanese food is the GOAT

It was pretty good tbf.
As a country as a whole though it wasn't the most memorable for me. Amman's a bit of a dump.
Never made it to Machu Pichu, and I didn't even know about the 10 new wonders thing.
I've been to:
Christ the Redeemer
Taj Mahal
Petra
Colosseum
The Great Pyramid
Eiffel Tower
Not been to:
Ha Long Bay
Chichen Itza (but been to Tikal which is likely better)
Great Wall of China
Machu Picchu
None of the ones I've been to were amazing, and I've never wanted to go to any of the others except for Machu Pichu which I assume is the best of the 10.
The best I went to was Eiffel Tower but only because me and Rob McKee ran off going round Paris on a school trip when we were 11 and went for lunch up the tower (where we had tomato soup).
Hampi in India is very cool.
I would guess:
1. Machu Picchu
2. Petra (my legs were fkuced when I went there actually which probably was a factor)
3. Christ the Redeemer
4. Eiffel Tower
5. Taj Mahal
6. The Great Pyramid
7. Colosseum
8. Chichen Itza
9. Ha Long Bay
10. Great Wall of China
Beyond about 2 they are all shti though
Chichen Itza is ok, nice enough but a bit of a trek for something that you wouldnt think is that spectacular unless you were told to think it was spectactular.
I thought Tulum was a better Mayan temple tbh Coba was great too

That's exactly the same I've always found for many of these places/landmarks.
Everyone in the hostel will still say it was ammmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing though.
Yeh Colosseum as well, its cool and all that but theres a load of similar things like that in Europe
top 2 things for me in Rome were Galleria Borghese and the Pantheon.
