I should be careful to be fair what I'm saying about people, and make clear that mine's just one side of the story, and also recognise that my parents are elderly people, but I am glad I have the chance to talk to someone about this stuff, because there's a lot that's not right, and it's not "just the way it is" to live my life like this, to have unpleasantness with my dad every day, for the way he behaves towards me and does absolutely nothing to help me, with everyone else pandering to him without saying a word on my behalf.
Am told everyone loves me now, but where's this love and concern been the last few years? Everyone loves you, but just sleep on the floor, often in catatonic depression, don't mind your dad's grunting, put downs and overt displays of lack of interest, or everyone else popping round now and again to pander his ego and tickle his heartstrings as he sycophantically drools over them. That's just the way it is I'm afraid.
