Morning All.

Head says Potter.
Heart says Poch.

Morning Sizzle ☕️

None of them have a chance to succeed unless Levy goes
How many of that list have a better pedigree than Jose or Conte
None! and yet they both failed?

Think we need to back the manager from the top not just fans - we need to back with financial outlay that matches other clubs
Look at Farcenal. They have backed Farteta to the tune of £700m so far.

We buy any any player dot com while others only buy experience and quality for the now results

Managers have ego’s and want to work, I’m sure Levy will give them “assurances” and a decent pay packet.

Potter has been unemployed since Chelsea I believe? We could be about his level.

posted 1 day, 11 hours ago

Have wanted Potter for ages.

But any on that list would be a vast improvement on who we have now, and I include Southgate in that.

What’s a new manager gonna do now realistically though with 10 first team players unavailable, working with a pathetic transfer policy and mentality

I get ange is not doing himself any favours either and honestly wouldn’t care at the moment if he went cause haven’t been convinced even with our first choice defence that he’s the man, but I think we would benefit more from starting again in the summer

I think if we see more thrashings and match going supporters turn on the manager though and getting dumped out of Europe that does change things

Not really fussed if he goes or not. It won’t make any difference. We will all be having this conversation again in 12-18 months.

Nothing will get better at spurs until levy goes.

I have no interest in Potter, he was a disaster at Chelsea and they have not had many of them over the years. Brighton have been fine without him and other top clubs don’t seem interested at all.

I know Levy likes Eddie Howe, but I can’t see him leaving Newcastle and I don’t know if the club want him gone yet - possible though, I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Newcastle had their eye on another manager.

Southgate and Marsch - k’off

Poch - never go back

McKenna - I wouldn’t be disappointed, but he does lack experience at this level

Iraola - an absolute no brainer in my opinion

It isn’t about how much you spend; it’s about how well you buy, sell and manage contracts.

Liverpool and United demonstrate that very well (in very different ways).

And how well you MANAGE your squad.

Potter is the obvious one because he is available for Levy.

Not sure how we'd get Howe from Newcastle?

Iraola would be a good choice and being Spanish rather than English, less chance of him being linked to the national team if he did a good job, since there are so few good English managers.

How is Marsch on there?

Surprised not to see Silva among the favourites.

posted 1 day, 9 hours ago

A pretty uninspiring this. Ange needs to go as he's totally out of his depth but I don't see any of those managers achieving much under Levy's constraints.

Iraola is the most similar to Poch 10 years ago as he's done well in Spain and a lower prem club so probably the best gamble. Or just go back to Poch?

Whatever happens I won't be surprised if we're here again in 18 months.

Levy out.

Silva failed at Everton when they were high spending. I think Silva has found his perfect fit at Fulham - they’ll be well happy with 8-12th every season, beating Chelsea once and a decent cup run. He can do all of that and earn handsomely in the meantime

posted 1 day, 9 hours ago

Just read, Ange has won 29 of the last 75 points available - slightly better than 1 win in every 5 games.

How does anyone still want this fraud?

posted 1 day, 9 hours ago

I would take Poch back and maybe Levy will learn from his mistakes.

But then again this is Levy we are talking about!

But the problem is hasn't he already signed as the USMNT coach??

I would be surprised. This is the worst we have been since the Ramos days. That was 16/17 years ago and 7 managers later. I know we all hate Levy and think he and ENIC need to do more (or just leave) but they've had us top half in all that time and floating about near or in the top 4 every year since. I mean if you're going to blame them for what's wrong I suppose you have to credit them for the right things too.

There are plenty of managers who could have done a better job with us in the last year. I don't think that should be up for debate given our form in that period.

It won’t be Poch for several reasons:

Yes he has just signed as coach of the USMNT
It could seem like Levy saying he made an error before - which he would never do
There is nothing in it for Poch whatsoever
The fans would remain restless at the first sign of trouble

We need someone new, freshen the place up and get us playing proper football with recognisable tactics

Devon’s argument is always that we have improved since ENIC came in - which is true, but we were in the doldrums with Sugar. Pre Sugar we were a club that used to win a couple of trophies a decade ago - these days we just go along. So yes we have been lifted from the Sugar years and we have had a couple of title challenges - but we don’t win cups and we haven’t been able to sustain any sort of challenge to the top tier.

The CL final was a complete fluke, we all know that.

ENIC have spent money, but they are without fail always a day late and a dollar short.

These days I don’t feel like we are football team and more an entertainment venue - a cash cow for ENIC where the football is a secondary concern

What is painting a worse picture for Levy is that he has the one manager who rejected us because he didn't want to work with Levy, leading the table, and another who was sacked early, in 4th and doing an excellent job with an unfancied team. All while we remain closer to the relegation zone.
