We played very well and it was refreshing to see. On a other day we could have won that too.
Ruben already won at the council house and got a very credible 2-2 at Anfield in his first 2 months with a very poor squad. Good signs for sure.
We need to back this guy over the next 2-3 windows with QUALITY players who can play for 90 mins and actually understand the system. If we do that we will be in a much better place.
Watch us go and draw at home to Southampton next in the league though. Nobody would be that shocked if we did either. 😂

I genuinely don't get annoyed when we drop points and get what we deserve from the game as it know of we get what we deserve from every game we'll likely win the league and you can't be on it every game. I suppose in hindsight your system is well set up to exploit the full backs when you're the underdog but I can't see how it works when you're expected to win the game having soamy defensive players in the team with five defenders and two defensive midfielders.
Although to be fair if the players showed that same fight and commitment they would have more points than they do so that's a good starting point.

Thought Ugarte had a good game out of possession, not so good with the ball. Bruno probably MotM. Needs to get them two performing together consistently and keep Casemiro away from the field. Mainoo obviously in there today too.
Easily the best performance under the new manager, once he gets in players to suit his defensive system and can cut Maguire, Martinez (despite the goal) and get Yoro up to speed.
Still not too worried about next week though - be interesting to see the strength of the two line-ups!

Yeah i just don't see that system working out in the PL. No matter who the players are. It will always lead to dropped points against teams who sit deep as too many defensive players and relies too heavily on the wing backs. Although I suppose it has worked for some teams in the past when they used attacking players as the wing backs rather than out and out defenders. defenders.

I wonder how much difference having a full week training has helped?
What I absolutely loved today was our passing, that likely comes from the training ground and having a better underrating of the formation.
Early days, but hopefully a slightly easier post Xmas schedule will really see the players get onboard with the tactics.

Liverpool's press was useless today in the final third where we have so much joy as you always had extra players in your defensive third. This made passing easy. Against teams that sit back this won't be the case. Things will surely get better with more time but I just don't see this system putting you up there challenging. We'll soon find out.

Yeah I can understand that having watched a few of United's games this season. This should be the minimum expected and you don't always get it. Which will obviously be why Rashford has been sidelined being one of the most frequent culprits. I like the manager, speaks well and is sticking to his guns, making big decisions but I feel he'll have to change his system if he is to be successful in the PL. Only the weaker sides use this system in the PL and that's because it works as the underdog but not so much when you have to dominate the game and take it to the weaker sides. There are more weaker sides than stronger ones when you're at the top competing, obviously and therefore it's more important that you're winning the majority of those games than the odd one against a rival.

Your team needs to stop this 12 goals celebrations rolled into one that takes about 3 minutes, just for an equaliser. What would send a signal is to get the ball back to restart as soon as possible to get the winner.

Should have won it at the end anyway. Massive chance for slab.
City's record isn't particularly good there is it? It's a lot worse than ours actually. 1 win in like 30 attempts isn't it?

We haven't scored at Klanfield since 2018. We wanted to savour the feeling a bit today with our two deserved goals. 😂

Should have won it at the end anyway. Massive chance for slab.
City's record isn't particularly good there is it? It's a lot worse than ours actually. 1 win in like 30 attempts isn't it?
