Yes let’s take him. Another lazy drunk who loves gin and pills to come in, take £200k a week and score one goal a year.

He’ll want European football I’d imagine, we likely wouldn’t be able to afford him, and given that he’ll be 29 in the summer, he isn’t the profile of player we’ll be spending significant chunks of money on anyway.
posted 3 weeks, 2 days ago
Very expensive, over the hill player flaunted by the club as a marquee signing, sounds perfect for United.
posted 3 weeks, 2 days ago
Pep ruined him and coached any the brilliance he had at Villa. He would have been a great signing back in his heyday but now he’s just a husk of what once was.
If we’re gonna spend big money I’d rather Mitoma as no player from Brighton has ever flopped when leaving them

Was Grealish ever THAT great at Villa? He scored some goals in the Championship and then like 6 goals in seasons in the PL.
Some players just have their level. They look decent in an average team, but then are just not good enough to step up a level. City are often faced with packed defences and he doesn't get the freedom to run like he did at Villa. Not coached out of him.
Blaming a world class coach for being foreign instead of a mediocre English player for not stepping up, is just racist.
A long list of players could be compiled who were unable to step up to the higher level after being a slightly big fish in a small pond previously.
The simple answer is, he isn't very good.
posted 3 weeks, 2 days ago
Absolutely 100% not.
Great lad, but he has a problem with vodka and pain killers. He is timebomb waiting to go off and I expect that at some point we are going to hear about him having serious substance issues. If we signed him it would probably tip him over the edge.
posted 3 weeks, 2 days ago
He was great for us in the treble season and we’ve missed him a lot since, never been the same player.
Got a lot of off field issues going on as well which haven’t helped.

Absolutely bizarre comment, can't see any mention of nationality anywhere in this threat (other than from yourself).
Going back to the article, I do still think he could do a good job for another team and would genuinely take him at Arsenal. Can't pin this on a manager or system, but I do think he is more of an off the cuff type player and the rigidity of the Pep's system probably doesn't suit him. Ultimately he's gone there, won everything and had one very good season so I can't imagine there are many regrets from his side. But do think this summer is the time to go and find his form elsewhere

Yeah. White, English players NEVER get blamed for their shortcomings or behaviour.
Imagine someone like Sterling was a party animal, out taking coke and getting smashed.
Do you think people would be blaming the manager for not getting the best out of him?
Or would they call out his behaviour and hold HIM responsible?
Even Rashford got blamed for helping school kids and being black.
Gazza celebrated for being a drunk.
Maguire defended for assualting a police officer in Greece
Sterling demonised for having a tattoo.
Greenwood forced out of the country for role play.
It has to stop.

Can't see he'd be the sort to knuckle down and try and get his career back on track at this late stage. I think you'd be genuinely better off getting Welbeck back even though he is 5 years older.

I would rather go for a player who is yet to taste a lot of success and is 'on the way up', rather than one who is trying to recapture past glories. It doesn't mean they can't / won't, but it seems a lot less likely they will succeed (we have a few of those already)
He would also cost a fair whack, wages etc - defo not the right move

He’d also want big wages so no thanks.
