I agree with the sentiment. But I'm getting more than a little annoyed with people that seem to think we just like moaning.
When you look at recent events there's been a lot of anger. And rightly so.
Here Here. If there is a time to really get behind the team it is now. We need to Give SC every possible chance to succeed and not get on his back as soon as a single pass goes astray. Alot on here and other forums have made their judgement before a single game has been played under his management. For god sake drop your pre conceptions and get behind the manager and the team
and that is not a dig with people who have issues with doughty and marthur etc i agree that is a bleeding nightmare...i just want us all to back the NEW Manager who may just may get the best out of our squad
A lot of my mates are red dogs and they are moaning about SC appointment before he,s even took charge of his first game. Give the bloke a fair crack and he might do a good job. I reckon he could be a decent appointment.
Belper-Red,
And I don't give a to.$.$. what you think either. This is a forum for debate not a pep rally you blinking plank. If you think I'm gonna just sit here and eat the piles of $hitt being served up to me by the club with a smile on my face, then you are as clueless as you seem.
I have an opinion about the hiring of Coterill (that apparently somewhere in the neighborhood 0f 70% of Portsmouth fans share with me). That being that Coterill is most definitely not the man to take us out of the division (unless we go down). On top of that, his tactics are dire.
Write this down Belper-Red and remember that I said it when we are deep in a relegation fight late in the season.
As I started it, so must I respond gents?
To Sutton;
Sir I fully understand your sentiments over recent events, non so angry as me!!
Please give the new a chance ??
To TT in Texas,
You sir are a fool !!!!
I'm a Forest fan, I always want us to win, but the last 6 months has sucked all the enthusiasm for the club out of me. If Steve Cotterill can turn the club around then he will deserve as much respect as Billy Davies did, maybe more as he was at least allowed to bring in some new players. I doubt SC will get that luxury.

To be honest guys all i ask for is the 11 guys turing out in red shirts each week just to give 100%. Win draw or lose as long as they do there best thats good enough for me.
When you read this just say in your mind " We are Nottingham, say we are nottingham""
Tricky Tree,
Remember 100% of derby fans telling us about Billy's hoof ball tactics.
Have you closely followed Cotterills career and watched his teams play on a regular basis to form your own opinion?
I haven't,never paid him no mind, but now that he has joined Forest quite a few derby, leeds, lester and negative Forest fans seem to know all about him.

Remember many voicing the same concerns when Billy took over. Fully agree that we must give SC time and support. Not just this season, but also well beyond that.
Transition phase for the club. What amuses me is the experts from Derby and Leeds laughing at our club and management. Psychiatrists refer to this as 'projection'.

Well....... I work with a Notts fan who said the guy got average players playing well. They played from the back. Had a good keeper (like us) a battling backline (which we need to restart ours again) and players who wanted to play for the manager (something that has been missing from our players recently)
Give the guy a chance. I don't just mean his first game either. Win, lose or draw. Assess him at Christmas. This has to be his team now. Let's get behind the manager and players and stop trying to ruin our club further.
PS. Marthur out!
Well said Rev, obviously SC will get our support and best wishes, but it can't detract from what has happened over the last 6 months, just cuz we don't show 100% blind faith and can see what is happening to our great club, don't make us ignorant or dis loyal towards NFFC.
Some of us could see this the moment we heard BD was saked and no I'm not living in the past, but just knew what a total mistake that was!
our great team

And thats where your problem lies, wumming aside, you are not the team you was the last couple of seasons, my honest opinion the signings of reid, grandad george and greening really are a step backwards.
The longer you keep thinking your this great side the harder it is going to be to accept your just an average champ team. A few of your players have been punching above there weights the last couple of seasons, chambers the perfect example, with billy and his motivation gone, your starting to get found out.
FFS
I meant NFFC (Great team)
I know most of our players are average and BD got the best out of them!
On The Roof: Other than Earnie, which players are we missing from the past two seasons to have turned us into this awful team you are convinced we have become?
Rev: I'm sure you are all-knowing and all-seeing but I'll be honest with you, your doom and gloom predictions are pretty irrelevant. The club has made some good decisions and some bad decisions but I'm sure you wouldn't claim that these were maliciously designed to harm the club. They simply backfired.
Fact is now that we are where we are and this is what we have to deal with. Sad though it is BD has gone and he's not coming back.
There isn't much else to do other than to get behind the team. Frustrations should be aired in other ways than by booing a new regime which we all want to succeed.
The club has made some good decisions and some bad decisions!

Please elaborate on the good decisions!
How about appointing Billy Davies in the first instance despite cries and howls from some people?
Making some good signings which fitted into a salary structure the club could afford?
Ha Ha Ha
Yes I agree with the appointing of BD, but I was thinking more recent history Professor Reddog, from the day BD was sacked!
No they are not, well so far, do they fit in the structure, are the playing well, the dressing isn't what it was for various reasons!
The appointing of FC is the only good one, but even that, how much say does FC have!
No I'm not just moaning, I look at the FACTS and make my own conclusions!
AND BTW I wasn;t happy when they appointed BD, I agree, he won me round very quick though, with his comments and what happened on the pitch!
I hope SC does the same!
SC has absolutely got no chance of getting approval from those supporters who keep trying to compare him with the "god" that is Billy Davies. That is because they keep coming out with daft statements such as " BD got the best out of them!"
Let's get one thing clear, BD was only able to get the best out his players for about the middle third of the last two seasons. Those two successful spells were both sandwiched between shocking results and displays. Both starts to each season were very poor (no worse than SM's start this year and both run-ins to the play-offs were particularly grim followed by inept play-off performances.
Get real, you've all been baying for the blood of both SM and ND, despite the lack of funds pointing to cheap replacements. You've got what you wished for, now back them with some positivity and patience.
