You think that you are being realistic and anyone who doesn't share your views is wrong.

What a joke.

Frank, I tend to agree slightly with Doc. There are some underlying problems with the club. Basically, we have high expectations & collectively we are cross because we perceive that SG isn't being back by the chairman & those with money. What people seem to forget is where we were financially, where we ended up, & where we are now.

Wednesday didn't help. There are those that would question why we didn't spend plenty on a back up to Lonergan, & if we had, would we have been so roundly stuffed? Me, I tend to the view that money doesn't always buy success & the manager can't be held responsible for such a calamitous occurrance.

Me, I'm always just a little more positive. We've just signed an England u21 temporary replacement. No idea how he'll get on, but at least Wednesday could just prove to be a blessing in disguise.

following Leeds and Fiorentina, I expect I'm in for a rollacoaster ride either way... that's all I'm sure of

I like to think positive where I can though... hard at times

Doc... have I missed something where Frank deserved that comment ? - what a low thing to do

Frank, you are the POT calling the kettle black, as usual.

You're the one who abuses others when they disagree with your comments.

Doc, I agree whole heartedly with you. I've been saying there's trouble in mill for a couple of years now, and, the players aren't happy.

You only have to see what's happening, is happening, isn't happening and won't happen to get the big picture.

There are those who are trying not to see it, but will eventually, and then there's the tunnel vision mob like Frank, Mr Onion, Stoopo and the like who refuse to see it.

They are the blind leading the blind, roflmao.

"...the manager can't be held responsible for such a calamitous occurrance..."

Boggers, I have to say that I did not question Chub's signing as I did not know him but figured that as he had played for SG, SG knew what he was getting and I thus had some comfort in that.

Chubs has been with the club for about 4 months now, so the coaching staff has had ample view of him. Perhaps he has looked solid in training and being on the field in games as made him nervous. We have seen him play in 4 games, I believe, and errors in 3 of them cost us points.

In hindsight, the least that SG can do is hold his hands up and proclaim that this did not work out for player and club. These things happen. Its unfortunate but to say that the manager should not be held accountable for the team or an individual's performances just does not do it for me and I suspect most.

jonny,

i understand where your coming from regarding blaming the manager. I agree that if it is a bad team performance then you have to look at the manager, his tactics, his selection.

But, when one individual performs poorly, why shouldnt the player get the stick. Once a player crosses the white line a manager can't control his performance. Sometime players have to stand up and act like men instead of hiding away.

In regards to Rachubka, Grayson knew him well, he'd played close to 100 games for Grayson at Blackpool, why shouldn't Grayson trust him? Show faith in him?

We are actually totally in agreement on this, 1-0.

Please reread my posting.

In addition, I make the point that this was not one poor performance, it was the 4th game and his errors cost us points in at least 3 of them.

While SG may have had valid justification for bringing him in, I dont believe he should not take responsibility for it not working out.

My problem with this subject is this, fans are criticising him for standing by Rachubka, then they are criticising him for oiking him out and bringing in McCarthy?

Which is the right decision? Anybody?

"they are criticising him for oiking him out and bringing in McCarthy"

I don't know who you are referring to as "they" but I really think these are 2 different, although related, items.

I don't recall reading a single posting, not that I can be sure I have read every single one on this board, that is critical of SG pulling Chubs out. For sure, there have been postings that express unhappiness with McCarthy, but not regarding his ability but rather the big picture strategy. Of course, there are a number of varied posts regarding this choice, that is just my overall sense of them.

Jonny... argue the toss til the cows come home sunshine..

When I see articles like the one entitled WTF by LIW that lead like this -

"Hopefully it will help with his development"

Who gives a #### about that, he's not our player.

How about giving one of our own players a chance, ie Cairns, to help with his development.

Third choice reading Keeper.

Thats how low we've sunk

I think someone may be criticising the decision of our manager in bring McCarthy in.

You made read it however you feel, I know what I think!

Eric, I agree with you that "someone may be criticising the decision of our manager in bring McCarthy in."

I specifically stated that right above your posting.

So why are you arguing with me agreeing with you?
