"Could Man U have coped aswell without Tevez?"
I seem to remember that we won the league last season - WITHOUT TEVEZ !!

i thought city went top with a rearanged game against Everton in the "big freeze"?
Might be wrong though.

Not really important.
The only question is whether they can handle the pressure of neck and neck when it matters. We know that Man Utd certainly can. And we also know that they put together a chasing surge when not top of the pile.
That is the reality for any pretender to the throne.
It wouldve been 5-4 if all shots on target went in yday Shaun to you. Doesn't count us hitting post but I don't know why I'm even making this comment
Boris Inky Gibson fighting for sexual equality since 1972
Because the Toon are still in the top 5 mix ??
Don't mention "race" at Fullham II or Scouse HQ
Depends really on what city do in the champs league. Say they finish 2nd in their group and land barcelona or real madrid in the last 16. Either of those teams could conceivably knock city out which would give city 2 months to concentrate and win the league. If they get further into the champs league....

We wernt top at xmas, we had a chance to go top if we beat Everton but we lost as per usual against Everton. In fact that is the reason I have started to become a bit hopefull on this season because we actually beat Everton rather than having 30 chances and scoring 0 while they have 1 chance and win 1-0
a champions league exit could send them into a tail spin, who knows ?
Don't think the UEFA stuff has any bearing bar the injury threat.
Especially for the squad that the Sugga Daddy has assembled.
Don't recall Spurs being injury-plagued due to the CL games.

Your right, we shouldnt be making these comments the only stat that is important is the score. Blame Dawn for stimulating pointless comments.

Really? I think Spurs only won 2 games following a Cl fixture last season, so had they not been in the competition they probably would have won more and probably would have been in the competition again at the expense of Arsenal
The comment wasn't really in relation to the article just a comment on it

More likely to guarantee us the PL title to be honest
getting to the final of the champions league never seems to hinder United in the premier league, its getting knocked out that affects you.
I have no doubts that City will win the title
With Newcastle facing Man utd this coming weekend, and Chelsea the following - those two games could shape the top 4 - with the Toons form at the moment they could take points from both of those games potentialy giving City a better buffer.
well that settles it ThuddSpurs, conversation over

To be fair Ferguson is an experienced manager and has used his squad well over the years. Last year though the league was completely different to this year, Chelsea hit a freak run of bad form, City were still building and Arsenal were just to frail, this season is completely different. Granted United have got to the final in the past and won the league but they were the best team in Europe on those occasions when they won the CL. City have not proved themselves on Europe yet, I dont even think they will do it this season, if they prove they are the best team in England this season then that will be good enough for me and wherever they get in the CL is fine, one step at a time, first a trophy, then the PL, then the CL then the World .....hopefully
The odds are on a Ceeeetaaay team winning. Chelsea can still do it .... if they get a decent manager .... like the Special One.
The long shot, if you want one, is not Spurs .... its Arsenal.
