dawn - nonsense
Had the City not won the penalties they would likely have pushed for more goals, instead of taking it easy as they obviously did.
And if Micah had not been fouled, open play might have resulted in a goal anyway x
Might X,might. Your word.
Come on Dawn. Firstly you're showing a total lack of understanding on how football works and secondly City needed 2 penalties to beat Newcastle by two goals but we needed a penalty just to draw against Newcastle. Newcastle have shown that they're a tough team to beat this season so I really think you're clutching at straws on this one.
yes 'might', just as you cannot prove City would not have won without the penalties - your argument is entirely based on a presumption x
No Vicious I'm not clutching at straws at all. We were away at Newcastle whilst City were at home. Penalties are purely in the hands of refs who often get it wrong. But thanks for your opinion anyway.
The forward line is losing it's effectiveness is plainly a foolish statement.
Any way I am watching motd2 now, will have a look at our misfiring strikers at the end.
Had they been missed it would have been 1-1 with Newcastle hitting the woodwork.
Erm had the first one been missed then there might not have been a second one, Newcastle might not have scored at all, the ref could have sent off 4 players and the linesman could have had a heart attack.
As soon as you speculate about an incident not occuring then you cant say that all incidents that followed occured. For a start there wouldnt have been another kick off it would have either been open play or a goal kick or a corner etc etc.
If spurs had not lost to city in their first game of the season, and then United would they have changed their team for the following games etc etc.
Great to speculate what might of happened but ultimately pointless.
Stop blowing me kisses X,I don't fancy you. Look without the penalties it woold have been 1-1. I've just explained penalties in the previous post.
City's title to lose, lets be honest. And having watched United, I do honestly believe that 2nd - 4th is up for grabs and between arsenal, chelsea and spurs with liverpool an outside runner...
Without the penalties you dont know what the score would have been!!!!! The game would have changed, we could have been given 6 more penalties of Newcastle could have won1-5 (nice score line I think)
That 1-5 for you was a one off. You ahdn;t beaten us very much up until then had you apart from an own goal by Crouch?
I meant hadn't,I'm going for a shower as I'm getting tired. Thanks for the arguments boys.

I always found the 'if those goals hadn't have been allowed, it would have been X score' opinion to be incredibly flawed. Who knows what would have happened instead? The whole course of the game is inevitably changed when a goal is allowed or not, so we can't say what the score would end up as.

come on this is the "modern world", there are thousands of ladies who now go to football games up & down the country each week.
Some proper nice ones at OT.

Paul, what do you mean? You City supporters are merely Chelsea supporters just waiting to be put right. I get grilled for the things that I post but then the things that I post normally happen because of 50 years of watching football very little changes. I said that Chelsea would have a bad run of form and they didn't believe it and responded in exactly the same way as you are now. I'm just waiting for your little house of cards to come-a-tumbling on down.
