SAF joined United when i was 1
Like most i've never known anything other than SAF at United and it will be sad when he hangs up the hair dryer but it will be an exciting time to be a United supporter with a new gaffer coming in, what will his playing style be? what about his transfer policy? will he give the young players a chance and most importantly will sections of our own support give him the time he needs to do well?
That is an issue that most United fans under the age of about 40 won't have experienced before, welcoming a new manager and giving him 5,6 or 7 years to show what he's made of.

will be a watershed moment for many United 'fans' under 30. If it does take time to gel then hopefully the plastics will drift away.

Well hopefully, that's why i used the term fans rather than supporters, the supporters will always be there, the rest will become City 'fans'.
