TEG, fancy a £10 bet on who will finish higher in the league next year?... And this is from one of Derby's critics of recent seasons!
..critics! (aaarggh! spell checker!)
Tell ya what Baz, if Milf gives me £1 for every time he's put the Derby line up on 606/ja606 I'll put it all on this bet. Can ya manage £10,000?
Ya spelt critics right the first time
Yes Dear
Though I do appear to keep being misunderstood by Barn-ser-leh fans

" a few of my mates av played for them over the years "
you mean...you mean...........HE HAS FRIENDS ?????
the only friend he has is his pet dog, the only thing that will lick him.
selling Liam Hearn is a big blow aint it griff ????
not seen him play but going by his goals hes a potent striker and would cut it at conf standard.
am i right in saying they need to start signing a few players... having lost Flint and Hearn
I went to watch Alfreton a lot last year , losing Hearn and Flint will be a big blow as they were the two best players last year in my opinion . Replacements will be needed . I would like to have seen Derby sign Flint as i think he's quality , and i heard we were interested , although it would have been a big step up , will be interseting to see how he does for Swindon .
Derby wouldn't pay the £80k Alfreton wanted last summer. He then went to Swindon for £120k + 25% sell on. Yeah its a big blow Hearn going but they've sign a lad from Darlington today as a replacement. He's come full time and his last goal for Darlo was at wembley against Mansfield in the trophy final. Thy still need a goalie altho' they've signed 1 today but you need at least 2. In defence they've lost Stride and Flint but Theo Streete came in for Stride and they need another centre back. As I say before its a shame that Alfreton and Derby don't get on as it would be a good grounding for players like O'Brien and ball etc. I like the bar on the ground at Alfreton as they always have a good selection of real ales..Last home game i was on Old Rodger and Old Thumper.
griff from what i heard derby offered aden flint a contract at same time as swindon and colchester but he went for best financial deal apparently out of the three derbys was worse deal
No its a long story. Derby wanted him for £30K and Alfreton said at the time £60k Derby told them that they pay £30k for the reserves to play there, so the chairman told Derby to take their reserves else where. The scout Ivan Hollett had been watching him all season and told Derby to sign him but Clough and his mates didn't bother going to watch him until his last game away at Cambridge in the Trophy when they won 6-2. Ivan managed to get Crosby to go with him and watch Flint. Flint had his best game ever and Crosby's comments where "I don't rate him" the following week Alfreton accepted offers of £120k + add on from both Colchester and Swindon. Derby didn't even make an offer. Flint would have chosen Derby if they had as he is a Rams fan. Clough said that they need to take the cream of the local talent when he came, but he doesn't want to pay for it. Alfreton have said that they will never deal with Derby again. Derby even missed the chance to sign Kyle Macfazdean from Alfreton last summer and he went to Crawley for £60k and kept Porter and Commons quiet in the FA cup game.
Amber from what i'v seen on his facebook page he seems to be a Man United fan ? . . Believe everything else you say though and i'm sure he still would have come to us over Swindon , it's a shame if true that the relationship between the two clubs is so bad because Alfreton are my second team and i watch them alot , and they would definetly benifit from having some of our younger players on loan . It's also a shame the reserves no longer play at Alfreton .
Yeah I think his glory team are manu but appently his family are Rams fans from pinxton.
Do you go much to Alfreton Geezer
He's Big

His feet hang out the bed

Yes mate i went alot last year do you ? I even went to the title winning game over a Derby home game against Burnley .
Yeah I missed the Leeds, Burnley and Bristol City games as I was watching Alfreton. I went to Gloucester away near the end of the season when they played at Cheltnham's ground. My lad is on Ian Ross' shoulders in the photo of Flint and Law with the trophy.
The Leeds game was when Alfreton played Eastwood wasn't it ? i almost went but decided i couldn't miss Leeds , it turned out to be a good desicion looking at the two results . Where is the picture on the official website ?
