IMO Song has been one of best and most consistant performers this season.

It's a shame (but not totally unexpected) that John cannot see this.

did you see how poor we were without song yesterday? i even said on the match thread, i thought song gave it away too much at times, but after the game i couldn't wait to have him back. as alan shearer would say, 'pooher'. only when rosicky came on did we look like actually stringing passes together.

and reverend are you judging kos over one game? i agree vermaelen is the better CB, but to provide a link which suggests kossy is not good enough for the arsenal is foolish.

yes he has stopped more goals than caused, but so has verm. fact is kos has caused way more goals and lost us more points. while verm hasnt. simple as.

Alex Sing isn't better than Francis Coquelin IMO. Coquelin is a better defender he's a brilliant tackler, mobile, he's like Flamini/Viera conventional DMs. Song always has a gaffe in him cause he was casual, awkward style.

Coquelin performance vs Spurs, Man Utd, city prove to me he's better DM.

Reverend that is incredibly harsh.

Look at the games where kosc has 'lost us points'

You say Blackburn but Santos was more at fault and our midfield was cack. They are at fault more for us losing that game.

What other games has he lost us anyway?

He played comparitively well v United. Or in other words, everyone else was absolutely shocking.
A bit like Butt and Hargreaves at the World Cup in 2002 and 06. Weren't outstanding, but at least they weren't shocking like their team-mates...

Blackburn? We scored 2 unfortunate goals and they scored an offside goal.

Blackburn had 3 shots on target and scored 5. We had 20 and scored 3 The attack was to blame for the defeat not the defence IMO

Reverend is a clown. He has a sad obsession with Kamran who in turn has a worrying obsession with Koscielny. I was reading the match thread for when we lost 4-3 to Blackburn, in between all the 'Arsenal are going to get relegated' comments from Pool fans and all the Wenger OUT comments I could see on numerous occasions Reverend saying "WHERE IS KAMRAN?! LOOK AT KOSCIELNY NOW! I TOLD YOU HE WAS PANTS! I TOLD YOU! YOU THOUGHT HE WAS BETTER THAN CAHILL !"

He literally said this sort of garbage for the entire 2nd half. Very sad. Bad form Reverend

Koscileny this season is just immense, no question about it and anyone who disagrees is wrong.

FACT <OK>

i have a obsession with kamran hahahha, i was pointing out my point, he had been saying how kos is our best defender and one of the best in the world. that game proved my point and kamran wouldnt show his face.

you think i have an obsession with him. i have seen plenty of times on threads which i havnt commented on him or you have mentioned my name. i never talk about him on another thread. i think you two are obsessed with me.

when john and the arsenal fans unite over one common factor, you just know it must be true

Coquelin is a conventional DM he will get tackles in, be aggressive/ratty I prefer that kind of DM to someone like Alex Song

posted on 22/12/11

Currently Coq is about one or two seasons behind Song, to suggest he is a better all round player than Song at the moment is a tad stupid.

If he were then AW would start him ahead of Song.

I think AW has a slightly better understanding that you John.

NB: Vieira was not a DM. He actually started in France as a" faux neuf" playing behind the main striker.

everyone has a bad game, rev. the fact kos was poor in that game does not change the fact he has been class for us recently.

posted on 22/12/11

They're both awesome but I agree, I think Koscielny is becoming our best defender. I love him.

" that game proved my point and kamran wouldnt show his face. "

So you were looking for him then. Point and case proved

posted on 22/12/11

he was on that thread batmanu, as he had commented. so i knew he was there he just wasnt showing his face. im not commenting on threads which he isnt on to try and be funny ala you and kamran.

im not saying he hasnt been class recently, he has, not as good as vermaelen still. im not just judging him on mistakes in that one game though either

You are quick to highlights Kossy's errors. Why have you not highlighted Vermaelen's performances in:

United 2-1 Arsenal
Cíteh 4-2 Arsenal
Arsenal 0-3 Chelsea
Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal
Arsenal 1-3 United
Barca 4-1 Arsenal
Arsenal 1-2 Villa

He was shocking in every single one of them. That's not even mentioning the error he made last night or his handball in Udinese that could have cost us CL qualification.

Reverend Ramsey (U5023)

There are two ways to look at that.

"He wasn't showing his face"

So you were commenting about him on threads he wasn't on as he wasn't on that thread at the time as he wasn't showing his face.

OR

You were looking for him on that thread, meaning you are obsessed with him.

Which is it?
