Missing a drugs test is considered the normal thing to do where Rio is from
Utd should have sued the FA
Hindsight proves Veron wasn't worth that amount of money but what did Carroll have that made him worth 35 mill!

Your probably more right than you know.

Not one Liverpool fan thinks Carroll is worth 35m. You make a good point about hindsight and that's what buying a players all about, you don't know how a new signing is going to work out, and hindsight shows Veron was a shocking buy, but its way too early to say the same about Carroll, surely?

i will say one thing that probably goes for ay fan, of any team
I do not care how much my team pays for a player, as long as they perform...
finances and budgets are for the accountants of the club.
He's almost had a year at the club, with the majority of signings a year is the first time you will look at the transfer and think was it a waste or not
Berbatov for example, I'm pretty sure everyone would have slated that buy at the end of his first season at the club, and long the abuse has continued despite his goal scoring antics of the last season and a half.
a big price tag for a player makes expectations on instant success, not really a fair assumption but if Carroll can start preforming, every game he doesn't score he will get abused, or if he scores 2 goals against wigan he will accused on doing it against the easy teams
Berba showed the class he had before he joined Utd...Carroll is not fit to lace Duncan Ferguson's boots

Why are United fans harping on about how good players were before they joined you? You'll be telling us Bebe was the next Messi before you bought him

Bebe has 2 in 7 games - 0.286 Goal per game ratio
Carroll 5 in 28 - 0.179

Carroll being compared to Bebe and trying to prove that Carroll is better than Bebe of course he is bebe isn't fit to play for macclesfield town
The great thing is even though we forked out 35 on Carroll our owners were willing to fund transfers for other areas of the pitch where we needed strengthening. United gave needed 2 quality midfielders for a few seasons now but fir whatever reason fergie won't buy, ends up with anaverage fullback playing in midfield cause of lack of funds or fergies stubbornness.
Fact is you can laugh at us buying 'overrated' players but currently Adam and Henderson would walk into uniteds midfield hell even spearing would get in, united have only 1 actual midfielder of any note in carrick and fergie plays him at centre half now that's much funnier then any price paid for a player.
A hobbit of a full back in centre midfield
United..........Pld 19- Pts 45
Liverpool......Pld 19- Pts 34
