Great stuff Fuzzy; a very honest and fair assessment. I look forward to tomorrow's game and expect at least a point against a very leaky defence.

However, I wouldn't put it past Rovers to turn the form guide on its head and cause an upset against our Jekyll and Hyde bunch. It depends which Barnsley turns up, so you never just know...

Thanks Fuzzy. A very fair assessment. Given current form, Barnsley should beat us out of site, but football is, as we know, a strange game and teams are only as good as their next game. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

We'll probably end up with his sister Pearl, the way things have gone lately.

D-Day for me, lose today and its a long way down to the 1st div. But being a Zigger you never know what can happen. I'd take a 1-0 win, but can't see us not conceding. Either way I'll be there shouting us on.

The only thing we have Zigger is hope, get a win today and then get the new players in and hope we can go on from there.

By the way, the talk about our so called mercenaries, what about Mr. Vaz Te who has no loyalty to Barnsley, the team which gave hin a chance when he left the heady heights of Bolton.

He will NOT sign a new contract and is looking for big money on the back of a hat trick against the mighty Weeds. Give me Diouf and Chimbonda any time.

Vaz Tê signed for nothing, now (according to Wikipeadia) moving to the Blades for £750000 at the end of the season. Not bad business if true.

I think the point is the difference between having 1 or 2 such players and 10 or 11 of them. Can large numbers of such players be melded with the existing squad into a successful team?

I have never thought so. I'll agree that the jury is still out, but the evidence so far would suggest that it can't be done consistently.

OK fuzzy now is your chance.

As your nemesis, I suggest you look at today's performance with all but Ilunga and Diatta ( on the bench) the old brigade. If we win I will publicly apologise to you, if we lose, which I srongly foresee, you apologise to me.

I should be at work but am staying home to listen, I hope I am not wasting my time. I hope I am apologising at the end.

By the way Fuzzy, my comment about Vaz Te was in regard to him saying already that he has no intention of signing for them again. This is in direct contrast to Diouf and Chimbonda with us.

However you seem intent on bringing up your same arguement whether it is part of the answer or not. I wa not discussing numbers of loanees or short termers, I was discussing two men with committment to football and NOT money.

So Mr Diouf injured i presume? If you look at the bench we only have Barnes as a sort of attacking player so it's going to be a long afternoon for the lads today. Here's hoping for a big performance today! Wonder if forgotton man Hayter has a point to prove? Rovers!!

Rovers Player........down, what a load of rubbish!

Debut for Diatta?

posted on 2/1/12

Lockwood for Hird, probably Diatta not fit enough for eighty minutes. You'd think he would be by now!!!!

posted on 2/1/12

Nope Locky on for Hird. Bad to have to make a change so early.
