it was a pub game.. we tried to play a little at the start of the second half and got 2-0 up.. we dropped back and allowed them to then play the long ball game right onto and into our box..we paid the price, they are quite adept at the long ball stuff..
the rest was kicking it up in the air, mis kicks, poor control, poor passing and befeft of any ideas or skill.. attackers jumping into defenders and vice versa and loads of niggly pushing and shoving and late challenges and head injuries..

poor pub game.. millions spent on us and i bet the county players earn decent amounts and then we get asked to pay over £20 quid to watch a pub standard game???

its obtaining money by deception....its also sh=te!!

The first goal came from a long hopeful punt from P. Clarke which Rhodes did brilliant to first of all get to in front of the defender and then make space for himself to put it on a plate for Roberts. The second came from possibly the only pass Gobern played to a teammate throughout the whole match, then Roberts turned it into something with a great effort which fortunately bounced off the bar to Rhodes.

We never tried to pass it out of defence, we just hoofed it all the time, young Jack Hunt was once again non-effective in whatever role he is supposed to be playing, Gray Naysmith continued to look like my uncle in a Town shirt, and the Clarkes were both woeful at the back. Besides being bullied by Hughes for the whole match and getting nowhere near their equalizer, Peter was marginally better than Tom, who cannot be blamed as who in their right minds would play him at centre back in the first place?

On to the midfield, Oscar and Anton were useless, couldn't get near the Notts players when we didn't have the ball and couldn't find a teammate when we did have the ball. Oscar looked great at home to Chesterfield so what's happened to him? I've yet to see Anton have a good game in a Town shirt, how do we manage to keep taking other teams best players and turning them into very poor squad players? Roberts was completely anonymous apart from the part he played for both goals, which I suppose is fair enough and pretty much what I expect from him these days and I'm fine with it as long as he does produce something throughout the 90 minutes. Cadamateri was also very poor and never got into the game, he tries I'll give him that but his close control was non-existent so he just kept running the ball straight back to Sheehan.

On to the forwards. Alan Lee had a shocker, kept going down way too easy and quite rightly won nothing, then when he actually does get fouled he wins nothing again because he's been trying to con the referee too much. He started the season very well but yesterday nothing seemed to work for him, I'll let him off for when he hit the bar though as he did the only thing he could and shot first time on target, a sure goal but their defender made a great last ditch challenge that deflected it onto the bar. Jordan played well once again, made the first goal all by himself and then was in the right place at the right time for his goal. I do think he's still got a way to go before he turns into the player the rest of the country seems to think he is though, watching him yesterday I couldn't help but feel Marcus would have had a hat-trick, just like he would have against Carlisle as well.

On the whole though, it was another terrible performance, only this time without the pockets of good football which were the bright spots of the previous few matches.

no im not going friday.. i have some work on and i really cant be bothered to try and re arrange it anymore..
the way its going i wont even be watching the game on tv..
i will go to tranmere but wont be going to any of the "difficult" away days..

dean hoyle will try via the keep it up campaign to deflect the attention away from this re run of last season, but given the comments from most posters and a very large section of the support yesterday, it aint going to work this year..

we have become synonmous with giving and large charitable events etc and being a family club with loads of money..but we are not even talked about now as promotion contenders, we are just also rans..

suggest we get back to the main reason huddersfield town are here for..sorry dean the dream and the magic of a fan/owner has worn right off...

ten points behind the leaders at the half way stage???
de ja vu!!!!!

No doubt Clark will be telling his players how difficult playing Wycombe will be !!

If I were manager I would be teling em to play em off the park. !!

It's been said so many times, and for a while LC did actually listen to us and played a regular team and seemed to tell them to just play 'our way', let the opposition worry about us.

Now it seems all 11 players have been given strict instructions on how to stop their opposite numbers, hence the lack of any coordinated team play.

If LC has indeed bought in quality players, then for heavens sake let them loose to do what they are best at...we've nothing to lose because we're going backwards with the current set up.

lc needs to butt out and lets the players do their own thing.

I'll be going on Friday but then as it's the nearest football league ground to where I live (equal with Reading) I've no real excuse for not going!

Doesn't mean I'm looking forward to it much though particularly as I see Lee Clark is talking about changing formations to stop conceding soft goals........ welcome back 4-5-1!

One person to blame for yesterdays defeat. Calamity Clarke - Yes T. Clarke for a stupid and unecessary lunge, but then, why was he playing inthe first place, and their mid-fielder would look good in our side - was it Judge or something - worked his socks off and was quick and lively, and probaly cost nothing.

I am expecting a lot of changes again for friday, No idea who will be dropped, who will be brought in or what formation we will be playing,,, I will watch it on tv with a couple of glasses of finest malt in front of a roaring stove wi me jimmys on, just incase i fall asleep !,,,, I am however looking forward to watching a good FA cup game at Oakwell on the saturday as a neutral, I think i will be guaranteed to see some passing football played at a a good tempo on the deck not only by the Swans but hopefully Barnsley aswell,, 15 quid in aint bad either, I will be comparing the fare on offer to what i have become accustomed to seeing at Town this past year and a half,, I can see the game reinforcing my opinion that Town games have become nothing more than pooh.

Don't compare Swansea with town. Just shows what can be done with a small town club like swansea when you have decent managers in charge. They play beautifull football, saw them totally snuff L***** last season.

Why not Hudds ? where do we always go wrong, 40 years it's been since we've been in the top flight...40 blooming years !!!!

Your right Jacko,, Why the Swans and not us ? I would call them a smaller club than us ?? Certainly no bigger, Yet they have graced the top flight twice since we were last there, They played some great stuff back in the early 80s as well as now, I had a bit of a soft spot for "Toshes welsh team", It could easily have been Town with more luck, and Hoyle in the 70/80s - what a difference he would have made, We certainly wont be comparing Swansea to Town, But i should think we will make a Town/Barnsley comparison and i dont think it will be favourable.,,,,,,,,,,, Cas, I tip my hat to yourself n the 38s of this world, But by eck lads you have spent some money watching she ite in the last 18mths from easily the most expensive Town squad ever !

Brentford away and Stevenage at home!

Oh it costs a small fortune, the long distance away matches are the ones that get me either in petrol or train fares. It's worth it though to watch Town in a decent atmosphere rather than the funeral home that is the Galpharm, and some of the best matches I've ever been to are away so it ain't all bad.
