Rangers may have another tax liability for this current tax year 2011/2012.
Aluko paying for his own contract release could be judged as benefit-in-kind.
If so Rangers would have additional tax to pay.
However a good legal team with expertise in tax laws maybe able to question if Aluko is in fact a benefit-in-kind. Did Rangers fallout with the top legal, tax firms in Scotland, I think they have taken Rangers to court, so there goes that avenue.

ekgers - you bet yer bahookie your credit line has changed - your Chairman since the summer has empahised the need to cut £10 million from operating costs, your Club has been taken to court at least five times by people you money to, Celtic wanted their ticket money upfront and your last signing, the numpty, paid his own transfer fee.

Yep. things have changed in the ould credit line since the summer.

I rather suspect any selling club would want cash upfront
==========================================
I would think that any club wishing to purchase one of their players would obviously put in a lower bid as well.

We could well see them going to the wall after the wee tax case never mind the big one.

Why would they appeal the wee tax case when they've already admitted liability in the first place?
