Write us off all you like......
This is a poor United team by our extremely high standards and yet we are just 3 points behind your mob.
Doesn't say an awful lot for the rest of the league to be fair.
That's your trouble, you should'nt think, it'll only end in disappointment.
This is a poor United team by our extremely high standards and yet we are just 3 points behind your mob.
Yep and City have only been playing the basement clubs for the last month.
And you have to play us at home!
This is a poor United team by our extremely high standards and yet we are just 3 points behind your mob.

Yes but this is meant to be our difficult period over December and January where United would over take us. If you can't get results against Blackburn at home and Newcastle away conceding 6 goals, the how are you going to fair against Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and City all away.
They've got to play Blackburn away as well.
Shaun, don't know if you've been following football long but it does'nt always pan out like that.
And arsenal Chelsea an city away!

Where in my comment did I say it did But you would still rather have to play them at home than away surely?
who expected City to drop points at west brom and lose at Sunderland ???
These things happen in football.
City haven't had shocking luck with injuries either. If you were missing Kompany like we miss Vidic you would Know. Rio missed most of our games too.
Still only 3 points.
Football is a funny game. City rightly favourites. But maybe the luck will change. Had Kompany broke his leg and not Vidic....we'd be top tonight. That's football though isn't it.

You may only be 3 points behind, but you've had to scrape through an awful lot of 1-0's to keep up. I can't quite understand how this United side, considered to be so weak, have been able to go on for so long before anyone else decided to go at them. I mean, we showed the way in October and yet it took until New Year's Eve for someone else to cotton on and have a go.

Scraping 1-0 wins is what wins you titles. We should know. You lot don't know.
Unfortunately we haven't got a MEGA RICH arab owner to practically buy us any player we want and pay that player whatever they want and write off ridiculous amount of debt.
Scraping 1-0 wins is what wins you titles.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It can be or you can march triumphantly to the title knocking in 5 or even 6
We have only won 1-0 twice this season, both against Arsenal.
Apart from Bolton we have had a winning margin of more than one goal any time we have won.
When you are scraping 1-0 against the so say lesser teams it can mask the fact that you are not that good.
Fair play for keeping up and good point about Vidic.
We have had our share of injuries and suspensions but have the squad to cope generally.
Try not to be bitter that we are consirerably richer than you
Winning with style
"Apart from Bolton we have had a winning margin of more than one goal any time we have won"
Not quite, bud. We only won by one goal against QPR as well.
"Scraping 1-0 wins is what wins you titles. We should know. You lot don't know."
That wasn't my point. My point was, if your team is so rubbish, how come so many teams have lost to you? The only conclusion I can arrive at is that teams are giving you way too much respect. Bolton and QPR gave us hard games and Fulham wrenched a point from us, so how come they can turn it on against us and yet just give up when you roll into town? As for all those 1-0s you got, I still maintain that some of those teams could've bagged a point if they'd had a go instead of pooping themselves.

To be fair, thats the effect of being so successful over the years is that you have almost won the match before even stepping onto the pitch. I think City are starting to have this effect at home but it may take a couple of PL titles to get it away as well.
I think a lot more teams will be having a go at United between now and the end of the season, the last 2 results have shown that United's defence is very vulnerable, their best defender is missing, they can't decide on a first choice keeper and the rest have been changed round so much that they have yet to establish an understanding this season.
If anything that is probably the main problem these 2 bad results for United will have caused, as a team that may have played to try and nick a draw in the past will now be thinking you know what if we have a go we might get a win here.
Unfortunately we haven't got a MEGA RICH arab owner to practically buy us any player we want and pay that player whatever they want and write off ridiculous amount of debt.
Says Eastender, no but don't you have the most fans in Malaysia and big sponsorship deals with the likes of Mr Potato their biggest crisp producer over their, surely things cant be that bad can they with the debt an all.
Last night you had three players with a combined cost of nearly 90 million pounds I bet that is more than the whole Newcastle team.
I bet their net spend has been lower for years too, "just in case Hajifur is reading"
That wasn't my point. My point was, if your team is so rubbish, how come so many teams have lost to you?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our team isn't rubbish when you compare it with the rest of the league. We have a better squad than everybody in the league bar city. And we all know why your squad is so good but we won't go there.
My point was our squad is poor in relation to previous United teams, NOT other teams in the Premier League.
Its a fact that the Most expensive team ever assembled on these shores is just 3 points clear after 20 games of arguably the poorest United team in the Premier League era.
Without the Sheik.....this poor United team would be top of the league this morning. Says it all really about the rest of the league.
Mr potato dude! ask for more money before you are sponsored by a crisp company!
If your team is so poor then why are you 3 points behind the best ever start Man U have had in the history of the prem???
How many clubs can afford to spend £19m on a GK who can't even make the first team?
Its more than that, I think there are behind the scenes problems at Man U and I think Rooney is at the center of it, I can really see Rooney wanting to leave in the summer especially if Man U dont win the league or FA cup.
