Personally I wouldn't sit down to watch Bad Santa, It's A Wonderful Life, or Christmas Carrol at any of time of the year.

Die Hard comes on the telly in July I'll watch it.

That, for me, makes it not a 'Christmas' movie.

If it's Christmas related, say more than just a fleeting reference here and there, then for me it makes it a Christmas film. Die Hard and It's a Wonderful Life meet that standard.
