Just read about it, sounds intersting and apparently has a very disturbing scene

Just watched The Taking Of Pelham 123 - good action/thriller film starring Denzel Washington and John Travolta.

4 out of 5.

Yeah, Being There is one I've not seen in a good few years now.

Sweet movie.

Terminator Salvation: 0.5/5

So bad.

Saw 13th Warrior last night, very enjoyable flick.

Making a mental note of all redconn recmmendations now. Cheers for Prince of Darkness dude. Loved it.

Just finished watching The Hurricane.

Best film I've seen in a long, long time. Absolutely artistic.

I would strongly recommend it to you guys.

5 out of 5.

So, season 1 of Homeland finished. What a great series. Can't wait to see how this continues. Just hope they can continue the high standard they've have through (most) of this season, next time round.

Yeah A.H.B., Terminator Salvation is truely a celluloid abomination. The only reason I gave it it's (rather generous) 0.5/5 score was because of it's doff of it's cap towards the 'Arnie' Terminator towards the end.

Apart from that and a couple of other all too brief bright spots, uttter, utter guff. Please don't make any more.

I watched Monsters the other night too, which I know you were underwhelmed with.

It's quite and achievement that it was made with so little money, but although I liked the set up and the back story, I too found it didn't live up to the hype.

And what a disappointing/weird ending...

Well remembered Lex!

The whole metaphor was laid on a bit thick and gooey I remember. Hype, can't trust it with films. No more than John's guaranteed signings.

So weird that you mention this film now. I bought that like 4 months ago from ebay but it never arrived. A few weeks later I realised that dvds couldn't fit through my mailbox, but I never bothered following it up with the post office.

Two days ago it turned up out of nowhere on the kitchen table without a word of explanation and nobody with any clue about where it came from.

Yet to watch it though.

You guys should watch The Hurricane.

Trust me, it's well worth it.

Do any of you watch East Asian movies?

They have some good flicks there.

The Man From Nowhere is a notable one. Think Korean Taken/Bourne Series.

I've been meaning to see the Japanese version of The Ring

I've had Old Boy on dvd for flippin' AGES now, but still not got round to watching it yet.

Lexington
Shall I make you throw away that disc?

There's one particular information which had me dismiss that movie, wholly.

Yeah, the original version of The Ring is scaring weird stuff.

Less scaring, but more spooky is A Tale of Two Sisters.

Definitely worth a watch and not a heart-stopping as The Ring.

Old Boy is good, but disturbing.

me too

Although I'm worried about it being oversold

All the purists always bleat about original foreign language versions being 800 billion times better than the remake

No doubt they're better usually but the sales job of the original normally goes way over the top

*scaring?!

Time for bed.
