American Reunion was ok, had some decent moments but laid the cheese on a bit thick with that Sherminator bit and some other scenes. Oz's missus still the looker of the bunch.

Downloading 21 Jump Street now too, someone said it's like Superbad. Hope they're right.

This Is England: 3.75/5 - Hadn't seen it before. Not quite what I was expecting, but good film nonetheless.

Sunshine: 4.25/5 - Saw it when it was out at the cinema. The visuals aren't quite as amazing as they were on the big screen, but it's still a great movie. Thought-provoking too. Highly recommended.

Inglourious B*sterds: 4/5 - Seen this before too, but almost forgot what a great film it is. Yes some say it could do with losing 20 minutes - a couple of the scenes are a little flabby - but then it could be said that that time is well spent ramping up the tension.

Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz are both brilliant. Could have done without the scalping and a couple of other bits where the gore seemed a bit tacked on to keep the Tarantino fans happy. It doesn't add to the film - if anything I feel it detracts from the story.

Just below QT's best work... but only just.

Loved it. Was Waltz the German multilingual colonel guy? That guy's performance was amazing, put Pitt in the shadow. The only part I didn't like in the movie was the showy old-school explanation of the Hugo fella, but other than that it was quality. Scenes are perfect length, it's more like a play.

This is England was great I thought and genuinely moving. What did you think it was gonna be about? I remember thinking it would be about gangsters or something so it was a good surprise.

Downloading Sunshine atm.

Saw Punch-Drunk Love again the other night, just a classy film. If you haven't seen it don't be put off that it's got Adam Sandler in it. If you're happy to see Adam Sandler in it, then you possibly won't like it. Very unusual but catchy storyline to it. 5/5.

Yeah I have Punch Drunk Love on dvd. I think it's the only Adam Sandler film I can remember seeing. There must have been another... but I can't remember it.

This Is England is really moving. The kid's storyline is really well worked and a few of the characters were really nice, which is what I think surprised me most.

Because it's a Shane Meadows film, I guess I presumed it was going to be a bit more violent. Probably to do with Dead Man's Shoes - another good film if you've not seen it.

Glad it took a slightly subtler route though.

*POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT*

Apart from that scene towards the end, it was really effective by keeping the violence bubbling just under the surface.

Hope you enjoy/enjoyed Sunshine, AHB. (It's the Danny Boyle film, by the way... just in case there's another film out there with the same title).

just watched Tinker Tailor (the new one)

was alot better the second time round actually, could actually appreciate a greta film instead of sitting there trying to work out what the hell's going on

two more names i'll throw into the hat-the constant gardner and one flew over the cuckoo's nest

"The last great film I saw was Drive. I could watch the intro over and over. The soundtrack was ace too"

Yeah, Lexy was very impressed with that film. The same doesn't apply to me, unfortunately.

you really do Arry

my local sainsbury's were selling it for £7 (it's my mum's birthday next month so officially i bought it for her )

when i saw it in the cinema i struggled enough just keeping up with it

literally just watched it again, and it was actually better, i knew the basic plot this time so i could actually focus on the film itself

Also, Black Swan? one of the creepiest films i've seen but really enjoyed it

sounds really cheap but if you live near a pawnbrokers they're really worth haunting around. picked up one flew over the cuckoos nest and casino for a combined total of £3
