Sandra got told off this morning for making Harry Porridge for breakfast ,
"If found guilty a custodial sentence is possible.Though unlikely in Redknaps case"
And the reason for that (THIS time) ??
Because of the sums lost to the taxman and the period over which the evasion took place.
Lexington,
But even a fine or suspended sentence being passed would indicate him being found guilty, no?
===================
Yes, but he wouldn't get jail plus a fine or suspended sentence, would he?
Hence he wont go down if he gets a fine or suspended sentence.

I wish he could see my appreciation of that joke.
Erm.. that's not what I asked though is it Chronic.
All I ACTUALLY wanted to know is whether Tottenham should stand by him IF he's found guilty, or whether they should instead sack him, as Arsenal did Graham?

*Sorry Chronic, that should read Chicken.
have to stand by him , everyone is on the fiddle its just Harry got caught
If Levy has a plan B + there is financial gain, Arry is gone.

Worst case scenario:
Harry gets 12 months and Jose manages Spurs
Steve Bruce is currently unattached.
HMRC are chasing tax on £189k.....so about £80k-£90k.
The trial will be costing them (the tax payer) ten times this amount.
Why they didn't just ask him to pay the tax on it and interest and be done with it is beyond me.
From what's come out in court it is clear that HR failed to pay tax on it but it does not seem to not a deliberate act. Just stupidity.
Why would someone play +£1m in tax try and avoid £80k. Why risk it all for that?

The courts won't protect stupidity. They'll only take into account guilty or not guilty. They may be lenient but he'll still be charged.
"what possible financial gain could there be?"
Forfeiture of pending bonuses, future entitlements etc.
Depending what is the contract between the club and Arry.
ArSol should go into freelance club transfer consulting.
Think of the money he can make from those like him.

Why should we sack him?
The alleged crime was pre-Spurs & doesn't involve any wrong doing whilst his time at Spurs.
If players can play on after being punished by law, then why cant managers manage?
Sol Campbell is doing his coaching badges.

i suppose we could use some shooting practise.
shotgun first. and i will be using a shotgun actually.
What club is he ripping off a this moment?
"Why should we sack him?"

Because their manager being found guilty of tax evasion in a court of law wouldn't relect well on Tottenham Hotspur FC perhaps?
"Why should we sack him?"
"Reputation Management" ***
Though in Grahams' case no doubt the declining fortunes of his reign (silverware, playing style etc) also counted against him.
*** In general. The irony of THFC being accused of all manner of practices re the OS saga is not lost on me.
