Hopefully the FA Cup is taking it's toll on Stevenage because they were on a great run prior to their game against Tottenham but lost both games since.
As for the team i think only Robinson will lose his place and obviously no Rhodes. So Novak for Rhodes then anyone's guess in midfield.
amchaff do you not want to win on tues night arfield and lee in the team not a chance try this one
smithies
hunt morrison mccombe naysmith
roberts johnson//gudjohnsen kay ward
novak higginbotham
i would leave alan lee sat on the team bus he is not good enough and spends too much time throwing himself on the floor or running after the ref moaning possibly the worst forward we have ever had at town
the above team is either damien johnson in midfield or joey gudjohnsen
I like that team Brian but my biggest critism of Clark was all the chopping and changing and suspect Grayson will try keep the team as consistant as possible so i'd expect both Lee and Gobern to keep their places.
.............................smithies............................................
....hunt.....morrison......mccombe......naysmith
..roberts......johnson/gudjohnsen.....kay...ward
..............novak.......higgingbotham
there thats nice and neat now i hope
i do see your point and maybe yes gobern stays in and lee probably will but he cant keep playing a centre forward that doesnt score and to be honest who doesnt hold the ball up well either it bounces off him all the time i honestly do thinkk hes one of the worse centre forwards we have had at town i would much rather play boom boom up front than him i think hes scored more goals in last 5 matches than lee has in last 10
Lee is what he is. Novak looked very sharp when he came on but maybe that was just in comparison to Lee. We played several balls yesterday for Lee to chase down the wings. I don't like that from the ball player, you have to know the player you are playing it to, what they can and what they can't do. It's as if they were just covering their own back trying to impress the new manager with a tidy pass rather than what's best for the team.
I think Lee has a role to play but he isn't going to score the goals. Any front 2 combo with him and not Rhodes will not score goals. However, as a one off against a tough team i think Lee/Novak could work.
With Novak,Lee, Gobern, Morrison and McCombe in the team we are massive and set pieces should be a real weapon.
Feel sure we'll maintain our Winning run under Grayson against 'Pool' and do well, It was like a Breathing a BIG Breath o Fresh Air Yes~day
I really felt for The Boss ~ SO MUCH TO LEARN about our Squad and SUCH LITTLE TIME to do it .. But he made notes Mental and Physical Scribbling down on a piece of parchment the size of a postage stamp and boy was I MASSIVELY IMPRESSED with his assistants Snodin and Miller is it..? Who played as big a part if not bigger than the big man himself Shouting here Gesticulating there and yet always in a happy encouraging way.. LOVED IT AND LOVED EM .. absolutely no question in my mind that this at last is gonna work .. ..
One thing the THREE of them (make no mistake this is Trio Mgment in its Cradle) will have learnt Very Quickly is that Our Midfield (as all of us have known for Yonks) is Completely Disfunctional ~ and thats where ~ Early Intensive Care and Attention needs to be most focused
Is Joey The (Part) Answer .. Well he looked like someone who'd Not Played Competitively for MONTHS and will need a few games to find his Touch, Passing Range & Smartness and truth be none of us can be sure that he is the answer unless he's given a few more stints (even if not full matches) so thats a wait n see .. Be certain though Snodin and Co identified what was wrong across the middle and with arm~hand squeezing gestures tried to get the message across .. as to whether our midders can take those messages on board and Lift Themselves enough to provide the answer again remains to be seen.
But oh how I enjoyed the feeling that at last some folks in & around the Dug Out Knew what they were doing & will surely Care for Deans Investment all the way through into maturity ..
Deano was Smiling too .. Thats gotta be good ..
Btw Booothy I lost me £10 skybet on Jordan Hauling a Hat Trick but to be fair to him he did play most of the match carrying a shockingly painful ankle knock early doors .. Credit to him for that ..
Finally: My m8 Mo says Hunt Is Fast achieving International Class & I couldn't agree with him more .. Haven't had a chance yet to read any reports or ratings yet but really hope he get M O M .. ?
PS: Amel eh .. Nice to offer us your M Thread & will not do a Maungy Mark Hughes on you like he did with Jol yesterday .. Fact is we could do with a few more of our old BBC regulars returning/dropping in for a welcome drink n a bite to eat a bit more ~ The site you Mod for is fine for Fancy Pants Picture Postcard Posting but its just too gaudy for us perhaps ~ more stuck in our ways down to earthers ~ who find just saying it like it is seems much more comfortable & do the trick for us .. 5 starszi 4 U tho .. ..
Ooops .. Have I made an opposing team error there .. My god I was really la8 ohm last night .. .. Like Joey I'll try n Catch Up Sozz ..
Yeah apologies for the £10. You're right about the knock, he also had the one ruled out for offside and a 1st half header that could easily have been a goal but oh well. Had we scored early i thought Exeter were there for a hammering. Due to the oppostion don't think we can read too much into the game.
As always interesting to hear what you see from the opposite side of the pitch to myself.
Even from my seat though a saw him scribbling away and joked to my dad that he should have brought one of those presentation style flip charts rather than his little note book.
Stevenage Swimming Pool ?
There was definately a better feeling in the crowd yesterday, although again there was some deafening silences. The 'singing section' seemed noisy when I sat up there for 1st half, but I could hardly hear them when I moved down to t'other end for 2nd half.
Thought the ref and lino were poor yesterday, blatant hand ball in 1st half, and numerous kicks, pushes and climbing by Exeter ignored. Alan Lee got a rough ride...anyway, moving on...
I think Stevenage Pools' reputation as 'rough' is now undeserved, and I always look to see how many they've had booked which is hardly any at all over recent weeks...Hope this means it won't be another kicking game. The fans at Stevenage give great support and are non-stop chanting and singing in support of their team..this whips up the atmosphere a bit from what I've seen on TV.
I expect Novak and Lee up top, but whether Gobern and Robinson get another go I don't know...Johnson seems to have not recovered from his injury, Miller is out..Arfield would be a good addition perhaps and Higginbotham perhaps who I've not seen yet...can he play in midfield ?
The back 4 will be the same I guess, and Ward will def play...but maybe he'll sacrifice Roberts for another central midfield player..?
Singing SEXtion Jacko .. You must've been the wrong side o town there fella .. She was just in front of the Directors Box and gave
both The Queen as well as 'Smile a While' a Proper Cantilever Bra style LIFT .. Wow gave my eyes a right Optrexing she did .. for certain she'll never be bothered aba'at bein left on T'shelf .. She's
got one all of her own .. Truly though a Wonderful Singer who I'd
like to see much more of .. much more .. ..
Amelia .. I'm uneasy with Regular Posters who put themselves up for being modders .. Its like a Manager who gives out a Load Stick but then Wants to Be/Get It On Down As One O The Lads ..
Just ain't right somehow m8 ..
I mean ta say Modders usually strike me as being latent Wanna Be Control Freaks So Snotty (You related ?) I can understand Yeh ~ and Grim (well at least he don't hide it being as he's a T V Star an all) ..
But as I say you never came across as such (maybe a bit boring and lacking iced bite at times Yeh) ~ So I'm surprised at why your doing it .. me'bees you'll explain .. ? ..
Hey not that you have to like .. but seein as I do have (a bit) O time for ye .. Well what dye say .. .. Whats it all about .. Alfie .. ? C'mon Fess Up to Ja .. Most of us loves ye .. ..
That's the result I was hoping for, can't understand why people think a draw would be better, I don't believe weds are the problem shef u are.
game on come on town great result blades are bluntened
We win Tues, we are 1 point behind them, with them at home on Wednesday.

Delighted with that result. We don't need to worry about Wednesday if we don't finish above them we don't deserve a top 2 spot.
2 rite Wethers .. I'm Strong with Conviction we will not only catch em up n passem possum BUT that we'll put some distance between us & the playoff also rans .. Bringing a huge SMILE to Deano's face
He winked at me yesterday .. I acknowledged him with a tip of me Titfer .. ~ ~ No words but such simple actions spoke volumes ..
Once we get ahead of shef u, there will be know stopping us .
I WANT MORE OF OUR GAMES Fast .. Bring em on .. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steady on chaps, 2 huge away games coming up, both of our opponets were in League 2 last year!
