He can do whatever he wants for England as far as I'm concerned. As long as he puts in good shifts for us, I'll be happy
The hoofing was all Jones and Smalling.
For your sake I hope it was Pearce's idea and not theirs.
Henderson barely played any long balls unless they all happened against the Ukraine. I didn't watch that match.
The other two matches were hooftastic from our centrehalves. I genuinely wondered if those two were genetically related to Carragher.
The only times Smalling and Jones hoofed it was because the midfield - Mancienne and Henderson would ahrdly come short and collect it and everytime they did they jsut passed it straight back - they were scared to get caught in possesion. Now im not saying Smalling and Jones were perfect - both made mistakes and they obviously still have a lot to learn but the main problem with england throughout that tournament was the midfield and the failure to create any chances of note and control the centre of the pitch
