Lionel Messi - Enough Said

I'm doing a vidicschin.

OK Suarez has NOT been among the best in the league, but has been good for us (when he hasn't been screwed over by Evra and the FA but we won't go into that) and when Kenny actually puts him in his position he thrives. Hence he's been so good for us.

Toplad.

Do I currently think Suarez is the best in the league?

Considering you said this:

"Typical after 6months, Liverpool fans think he's the best player in the PL."

The staggering levels of intellectual inadequacy and nous of the beautiful game exhibited by the knuckle-dragging troglodytes on this forum never ceases to amaze or amuse me.

Personally, i wonder why anyone takes anything that FredBassett utters seriously. He is truly an empty vessel and as the maxim goes, empty vessels make the most noise. Every output from his is unadulterated Bull, including 'the' and 'and'.

You speak in such a pretentious manner than I'd expect your grammar to match it and also be perfect; unfortunately for you it's shocking. I doubt you can even spot the errors.

Try harder next time.

You said you thought he was. Which is just laughable anyway.

I can't take any Liverpool supporter seriously.

In fairness, I also thought Father Christmas was real at one point.

He isn't, by the way .

Yes he is.

I've seen him.

Why, why, WHY would do that

hahaha! You do amuse me sometimes FredBassett, i would give you that.
Thanks for your ill-fated attempt at correcting me. Taking that aside, there is seldom a time you make a rational football point. The majority of true, knowledgeable football fans here must guffaw at your ridiculous statements.

Now, i just wasted my time interacting with you.

PS
A quick glance at your statements above just emphasises my points.

Rooney best on the world!
Cos Messi said so!!!

Aguero can create brilliantly but is deployed as an out-and-out striker by City. Both him and Silva are in my PL top 4.

Rooney and RVP being the other 2.

Wayne Rooney is the English John Toshack. We all agree? Yes? Ok, good.

Thank you for your cooperation.

I think I misunderstood what you were saying, sorry dude .

If the top bracket of players is Pele and Maradona.

And the second bracket is Cruyff, Zidane, Van Basten, Di Stefano etc.

Where do you think Messi currently sits and where do you think he will sit if his career continues to progress in this manner? Don't forget he's 24...
------------------------------------------

If he can continue at this level for another 5-7 years then I would say he has been the best ever. That said I am only 32 so can I really give a fair opinion? I'd also like to see him do something with his country.

I think it's a fair point to say nobody on this forum has seen the likes of Pele, Maradona, Messi, Cruyff, Best, Di Stefano, and many more, on tv, let alone in person to make a fair judgement.

Saying that, how players like Zizou, Cruyff and Di Stefano are considered in the 'second tier' of players is beyond me.

posted on 15/3/12

Basically I think you can only judge a player in his generation.

we could do with having messi now. Imagine if we had him for last 20 minutes, he probably would have scored 2 or 3 goals by now but instead we have bozos like young and giggs attacking with rooney park

Last time Messi faced Athletic, he was surprisingly quite, a bit too quiet for his standards and yet he scored one of the luckiest goals in his career.

I partly agree. How people can consider talent like Di Stefano or Zizou (not convinced on Cryuff) to be second-tier is silly.

As for not seeing people like Maradona and co on telly? That is just silly. This is not a forum of prepubescent kids. I watched Maradona in life and on TV many times and many on the so called list.
