Happy to see Ipswich win tonight - they just need a point from their last match to get promotion. Amazing achievement. And Omari Hutchinson seems to be a major part of their team now. He began the season just getting a few minutes here and there off the bench, but he starts every match nowadays and rarely gets substituted. And chips in with some important goals too. I’d refer to see him in the squad next season rather than Mudryk.

Clearlake will sell him and spend the money on some obscure French player who will go on loan to Strasbourg.

Been to 5 live games at Ipswich this season. In the game that Hutchinsohas played he look all right. Really hope Ipswich don't blow it from here.

Mind you, they let in so many goals, I worry for them in the PL

We beat them 2-3 at the Bernabeu but lost the tie overall.

We draw 1-1 at the other stadium
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought we beat them 3 1 in 90 mins at the Benabau, Courtois stopped it being 4 1 and then yeah 3 2 after et

Pep has turned Grealish into a harmless forward. Add to that his wages, and that he has already won the lot at City and I only see another Sterling.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Pep's City was never a good fit for him in terms of actual playing style although he's won titles and CL there so he's probably not complaining.

Watching Pep berate Grealish after a game recently you can see that he's under very limiting instructions which I don't think suits him at all. He's a free spirit player, you give him the ball and let him do his thing. You don't overload him with tactical info.

I think Grealish would be fantastic at Chelsea and would thrive in a way that Palmer has since his move. Also Grealish is still relatively young so has plenty to offer in terms of time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never rated Grealish tbh. I was surprised when City bought him.

I couldn't think of a worse purchase....no thanks, I like laughing at Grealish and his ridiculous falling over antics for someone else

Raheem Sterling is going to deny any Chelsea exit as he wants to prove doubters wrong. Unless Sterling has a massive U-turn, he will stay at Chelsea and resist any possible exit. (@JacobsBen) #CFC

He pretty much admitted that a big reason he came to Chelsea was that he wanted to be back in London (closer to family and friends). Can imagine that's an even bigger driver now considering he's getting closer to the end of his career (and he's already nearly won it all)

Very frustrating as I although he has loads experience, he doesn't really strike me as the type of player who has a Thiago Silva type influence in the dressing room. We'd be much better off getting a younger player who can contribute rather than sticking with Sterling and hoping he brings some "leadership".

Hopefully whoever is our head coach next season tells him that he isn't in his plans and if he wants to play then he's better off finding another club.

Oh dear, Sterling the 300k/week terd we just can't flush. Could have left this summer with something approaching a modicum of decency and respect but no.

If I were Sterling I'd do the same probably.

posted 2 weeks, 6 days ago

He's obviously realised that his days at the top are long gone and no other mugs apart from us are going to pay him even half of what he earns here.

It's difficult to know exactly why Tuchel made Sterling such a priority signing. Fortunately for him Tuchel hasn't had to live with the consequences of his decision.

Yeah, don't understand the hand wringing from some fans. We offered the contract, can't force people out the door.

Big game for Poch tomorrow. Probably the least I’ve cared about a Chelsea/Spurs game in a while.

Chelsea are huge admirers of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and could try and tempt Everton into selling him this summer. (via @GraemeBailey)

Thiago Silva has received proposals from 3 London clubs. The player has to chose to play for a London rival or potentially return to Fluminense. (@TNTSportsBR)
